I wonder what Clipp's 4 will look like if Galo gets injured again?

I'd like to see some of Boban as well but I do not think he is facing any injustice. I just think he has to prove to the coaches he needs to be on the court. He can do that by dominating in practice. Rivers wants to win games. People may disagree with his choices but if Boban stands out in practice Rivers will put him in games. Its not like the guys playing ahead of him in LA, Det, SA, etc were bad players. The Clips probably brought him here because they do like something in his game.

This common sense doesn't apply to schematic NBA coaches, and outside of NBA is not always that better. Yes, coaches can be that dumb and stubborn. Good example is Rick Adelman when he coached Pekovic in Minny, he said something like "Yes, we all saw it (Pek's dominance) in practices, I just didn't know will this be translated to the games". Well, how about giving him a freaking chance and see how it works? :banghead: This is why Pek got opportunity to play only when others were injured. If he didn't got "lucky" he would never ever get a chance to prove that he is not just an useless scrub.

God, the Bulls stink
we beat them with what amounts to a pickup team

hard to take anything away from this except I loved the energy and the ball movement
Blake really is a ballstopper

Yall got a special player.

I see what Jerry West was talking about. Tobias can shoot the three post up. Dunk where the NBA is going he is the perfect stretch four five. so what Blake couldn't do is exactly what Tobias can do. you put him with Lou Williams that is a great one two puch. you get that Contract off of your books.

He's a special player. and it's hard to matchup with a guy like that. he's really a guy who can do it all. and he has a lot of moves in the post. I think he's the centerpiece in how the new Clippers want to be. you can sign anyone to put with him and he'll be great. compliment player who can play off of anybody. and probably the best Star in the NBA that nobody has heard of.

You get Blake Stats and you have cap and roster flexibility.

probably to Houston.

and DJ and Lou should be dealt away. I like the young core and these guys won't even be the main superstar in the future.

next year, we still have Beverly/Milos/Austin/ for the guard rotation, Tobias/Gallo/Dekker/Wallace for forwards, and Harrell and Boban for Cs. still have Evans and Sindi to boot, and all them draft picks. as long as Jerry West performs his magic, we are gonna be young and a fun team to watch with a chance to win in the future.
ehhhhh f it.

What If...Doc Wasn't a Moronic GM

Post#27 » by Ranma » Sun Feb 4, 2018 4:22 am

Seeing the highlights of tonight's game makes me ponder how things would have been different for Doc and the Clippers these past years had he held out for Tobias Harris like I'd advocated before dealing Bledsoe away. Maybe Harris wouldn't have fit in with either of CP3 and Griffin's need to handle the ball but having him along with Redick--one of the very few clever acquisitions as a feather in Doc's cap--would have been something to see.

Maybe that one move could have prevented all those other moronic signings and trades or at least mitigated some of the damage by them.

Og15 wasn't even responding to me there and you still found a way to make it about me. That's impressive.

Harris might actually be a perfect compliment because he is a guy who attacks quickly and doesn't actually hold the ball much, but like you said, it is in the past now, what can we do.

That wasn't MTV, that's our resident Boban fan, no need to hate on MTV like that.

I still hope we can find a way to get a lottery pick and add Luka Doncic to this core. He's the perfect fit. Playing with Milos in particular would be great for his development as a player.

Love Tobias. Highly underrated. As you said, he can do it all... on offense. However, his defense is a glaring weakness. Young, exciting player that will undoubtedly continue to get better. I’ll miss him.

After the Blake trade I thought this team might be waiving the white flag but now I wonder if they are better than I feared. If Rivers comes off the bench this team could sneak in the playoffs. Getting Harris plus Gallo and Milo back from injury may be enough to keep them in the playoff race.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Glad the team was able to win with the news guys. I don't think our team is a finished product and we'll probably make more moves. I was just thinking, the only players on our roster that were regulars from last year are DeAndre, Austin, and Wes Johnson. How crazy is that!?
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
