Not really sure, I guess there was a little too much back and forth that was more personal in nature and not really a discussion about the topics? I didn’t really post much in there, especially the second thread, but I enjoyed reading it and the links that were shared.

Tool, Animals as Leaders and Meshuggah are three of my favourite bands. It is a little bizarre to hear someone say they are not a metal fan and then link a Meshuggah track though.

When I’m at home I’ll link a few of my favourite tracks.

I listen to as much music as I can over a wide variety of genres, and I like to think I have good taste.

I didn't mean that I dislike metal, just that its not a particularly strong interest of mine. I forgot about Judas Priest and Motorhead in addition to the bands above.

A couple of my favourite Animals as Leaders tracks:

A couple of my favourite Meshuggah tracks:

Meshuggah also seem to get plenty of meme type love on Youtube.

As always, Celtics fans are insanely loyal...

Oklahoma inmate Eric Torpy has served only six years of his 33-year sentence for armed robbery, but already he is looking ahead to the years 2035-2038. His original
sentence was 30 years, but he challenged the judge that if he was “going down,” it would be in “Larry Bird’s jersey”—the number 33 worn by the basketball player. Judge Ray Elliott then accommodated Torpy by adding three years. Said Torpy, in May, “Recently, I’ve wisened up.” “I’m pretty sure (Bird) thinks I’m an idiot. (T)ruthfully, most people do. My own family does, so I’m pretty sure he does, too.” [Boston Globe-AP, 5-13-2011]

Now that he's serviced 6 years, he regrets asking for 3 more :banghead:

From the Ice Age to the Dole-Age, there is but one concern... I have just discovered some girls are bigger than others, some girls are bigger than others, some girls' mothers are bigger than other girls' mothers.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE System of a Down. They were calling the news fake waaaaay before Trump ever did. Watch the intro to the first video. Spot. ****. On. Granted I don't see how the rest of song relates to that intro but if you go to the end of the second video the lyrics are:

The kinda **** that's on your TV!
It's on the TV.
****.
Turn off the TV.
Can you say "brainwashing?"
bbbbbbbrain wash ing

Two bands I have recently discovered and am really into are Earthside and Heavy Metal Ninjas. Both are in that djent, progressive sort of vibe. Technically very proficient, for those who said they dig Animals as Leaders I would highly recommend giving them a listen.

Earthside are from New England, combination of instrumental tracks and guest vocalists. The first track off their album is definitely my favourite.

Heavy Metal Ninjas I have only just found, are a band from New Zealand that seems to be based mainly around main guitarist Richie Allan.
