My deadline take. Hate it or Love it.

First Knicks Trade O’Quinn and Jack To Warriors For Pachulia and their 2018 First

Second Knicks Trade Lee and Beasley to Cavs For Thompson and their 2018 First

Then Knicks trade Kanter, Noah, Dotson, Warriors First, Cavs First, 2018 First, Chicago Second To Hornets For Batum, Kemba, Kidd-Gilchrist

Warriors add O’Quinn and Jack as vets for this years playoff run.

Cavs turn Thompson into Lee and Beasley for the cost of a late first, they gain contributors for the playoffs.

Hornets shed Batum and Kidd-Gilchrist. They get 3 firsts, and early second as assets for Kemba. There’s a chance Kanter opts out after season, even with Noah on the books they save cap.

Knicks can reasonably compete this year. They keep Frank and add Kemba. Kidd-Gilchrist is still young and Batum can be the 6th man.

I think the clips are all about shedding salary, so...

Knicks get harris
Clips get KOQ Ron and Dougie

No trading our own picks
that should be the end of the conversation right there

We’re not moving around pick unless it’s for a franchise level talent, multiple players that move the needle on this team, or multiple pics in return in future years

Kemba and batum are both players that I would love on this team but neither are worth giving up our pick for

Besides that I really don’t think the Cavs have a pic to give and I don’t think they will trade it for such a short term again

How about Lee and Willy to Utah for Joe Johnson (expiring, wants out), 2018 1st rounder?

I'd do this in a heartbeat. Not sure about how Utah feel though.

That is a lot of movement you got going on there. We'd be lucky if only 1 of those moves is made. Also if you can pry those picks from these teams you keep them not give them up for the Hornets atrocious contracts. Continue rebuilding through youth

Need to move O'Quinn to NOP, straight up for Ian Clark. They are signing Emeka Okafor FFS, surely we can give them a C.

They ain't about to give us a 25 year old starting player for cap relief. They would want youth and picks, or take on gallinari some how.

Well it seems like cap relief is their main goal this year.

A deal like this would work out well. Does Utah have their own pick? I remember they traded one for Rubio

Why would Utah do that when they have a top 3 Center in the league?
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles
Joel Embiid - Taj Gibson - Kevon Looney

And he doesn't fit their defensive schemes...at all. Imagine funneling everything to Willy? I like Willy, but he'd get absolutely abused in that role.

so, cleveland's asking price for the net pick is a PG level talent. that pick is sitting at 8 right now, and there's no guarantee it's a top 5. how many times has this team picked around 8 and some of us thought "oh, we should trade that pick for a paul george type player." I would bet it would have been few of us considering it would cost way more than the 8th pick in a **** draft.
