Re: Spirit of Atlanta
When Dennis heard there's a 'little bud' in the gym, maybe this wasn't what he was expecting.

Putting a band aid on a broken leg here. Our record will be well below .500 by the end of the year.

As students brave rough winter weather, wearing coats in classrooms no warmer than 40 degrees, Delaney has decided to donate more than 400 coats. The Burlington department store chain was moved by Delaney’s gesture and offered to donate an additional 200 coats to two other local schools.

That's a very kind gesture for him.
Glad to see our Hawks doing work off the court for a good cause.

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
Sporting NewsHawks give weird tribute to Dwight Howard's one season with team
Count the Hawks among the teams that chose to display tribute videos to visiting players who once spent a season playing for them
on Wednesday: Atlanta thought Dwight Howard — who was part of the visiting Hornets and who spent one season in Atlanta last year — was deserving of an ovation from the crowd at Philips Arena.
Howard averaged a career-low in blocks with the Hawks in 2016-17, and had his worst scoring season since his rookie year by averaging 13.5 points a game.
Zach Lowe mentioned in a September podcast that things had gotten so bad between Howard and the Hawks that players reportedly cheered when news of his trade broke.
Maybe the video shows that the Hawks are an organization that truly appreciates every player that wears their jersey; maybe they needed to fill space because streetballer Hot Sauce was off that evening.

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
I guess we really will give anyone a tribute video. I have nothing against Dwight but come on, he was here for one year.
Also, Hot Sauce still performed.

Ernie and the boys seem to agree with you.

Does Schlenk get a fine for tampering?
Schlenk said he’d be really surprised if LeBron ended up at Golden State. “I would be really, really surprised if LeBron went to Golden State,” said Schlenk. “The one thing I will say about Mr. James, he is the master at using the media to get whatever story he wants out there. He’s perfected the art of the social-media game. I think that those things were probably leaked by them, by Mr. James and his camp. “I don’t see a universe where that happens. It would be interesting to see. It would be interesting to see what he’d be like with the rest of those guys, with his playmaking ability and obviously with the shooting that Golden State has. But I don’t think we’re going to be seeing it.”

Stupid comments all the way around. No one cares and it makes you look bad. But I don't think you can tamper on behalf of another team. Well I don't know.

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
Is the good press here worth the cost of actually paying for this wedding?
Would their pictures be all over the interwebs if the couple weren't young and adorable?

200 guests?! Man, they are milking this. Harry better officiate the wedding if they are slinging invites out like that.

It's a hard knock life...
myAJCHawks’ local TV ratings down 50 percent, study shows
The Hawks’ record – tied for worst in the NBA -- has taken a predictably big bite out of the team’s local TV ratings this season.
Ratings for Hawks games on Fox Sports Southeast have fallen 50 percent in the Atlanta TV market from the same point last season, according to SportsBusiness Journal’s semiannual analysis of NBA viewership.
The decline is the largest by any NBA team in its home market this season.
All 82 Hawks games this season are being televised on Fox Sports Southeast. The Hawks’ next game is Friday at Indiana.
