Noah, Hernangomez, and NYK 1st for Holiday, Grant, and RoLo

We give NY back all the players we got from that Derrick Rose trade for an albatross dump, a guy who doesn't wanna be there, and their 1st.

I don’t think they do it, but I’m down for it!

Someone tell me if this is possible under the salary cap or not

Bulls trade Lopez to NYK for Noah + Knicks 1st
Bulls trade Grant and Holiday for whatever crap they can get

Bulls re-sign Nwaba to whatever the hell his market price is
Bulls re-sign Lavine (a bit under the max?)

Bulls draft Ayton #1 because we're top boys
Bulls trade NO pick + Knicks pick and draft Sexton ( I have no clue if he's good he's just the highest ranked PG I found for the area where we'd probably have to trade up to)
Bulls trade Noah + 2019 1st for cap clearance
Bulls max out Kawhi Leonard in 2019

PG-Dunn/Sexton/someone
SG-Lavine/Valentine
SF-Leonard/Nwaba
PF-Markkanen/Portis
C-Ayton/idk

I would certainly not waste 2 1st round picks to get Sexton, no way in hell. I'd rather just pick knox/walker or whatever available.

Harkless, Turner, Leonard, Collins, plus their 2018 and 2020 1sts for Lopez, Holiday, and Zipser

Too much involved here, but it'd take Portland out of the LT this year, give them 10-15 mill in actual cap space next year(and can find more)and doesn't truly hurt their squad this year.

Is Collins, plus the 2 1sts, worth taking on 2 years each(after this year) of Leonard, Harkless, and Turner?

As an FYI, its about 37 mill in cap space tied up for 2 years. I don't think we'll be using FA, but a move like this means we're taking this and nothing else, when it comes to bad money.

Small chance you could turn Harkless into an asset though, I guess. And the others could act as facilitators after next year, if we wanted to make a trade for a star.

IMO - Bulls HAVE to be looking to take on salary in order to aquire another one or two 1st rd picks. We all know the names - which team bites between PDX, NYK, @ LAL?

Seems like most all players we could buy w a 1st have 2 more years after this one.. which isnt nearly as bad as some think. After next year it becomes a valuable expiring...we just have to wait 2 years.

Lopez, LaVine, Portis, holiday, and pelicans pick to San Antonio for Leonard and lauvaurne.
This is the trade I would do if I was GM of the bulls. Spurs would get solid players in Lopez, holiday, then good young guys Portis/ lavine and finally a nice first round pick. They have been winning without Leonard this year anyway, then apparently wants out on top of that so this is a huge upgrade for them.
Then on the bulls side they get a super star in Leonard and could sit him out the rest of the year since he’s injured and continue tanking. Obviously before the deal Leonard would have to agree to re sign with the bulls..But a core of Leonard, Lauri,Dunn and the pick would be a sick team.

If the bulls want Leonard and if reports of him wanting out are true then they would have to try to get him now. To get him in free agency would be really tough to impossible.

There were reports that the Knicks might attach a 1st to get rid of Noah. Thats hard to believe but what if they received the NO 1st?

Bulls Receive:
Noah
2018 1st (via NY)

Knicks Receive:
2018 1st (via NO)
Lopez
Felicio

Bulls move up in the draft by absorbing Noah and dumping Felicio.

well ... we could go full rebuild and trade Lopez and LAVine for JR and BKN pick
We pick Doncic and best available Center and with Pels pick we hopefully get one of the Bridges

I've been suggesting this for months now. Not only is getting that pick good for us, but getting out of having to commit money to Zach Is extremely valuable in itself IMO.

Unless you're very concerned about LaVine's injury, why trade a 22 year-old who appears to have at least borderline all-star potential? People always get excited about the unknown, but outside of Bagley, Doncic and Ayton, are there really any other players in the lottery that definitely show more potential than LaVine?

What we do know is LaVine is very talented with a skill set suited for the modern NBA. We also know talented, but too inexperienced of teams tend to never turn the corner. LaVine provides experience and leadership despite only being 22.

We should value him as a core piece moving forward IMHO.

I do like Zach, but seeing how we just started this rebuild, I'd prefer to not have to commit long term money to any unknowns. Zach will get paid off potential. Like I said, I like Zach, but I do think there's a good chance his production won't match his next contract. By turning him into a cost controlled high potential prospect we would keep many options open for us.

That a horribe deal considering New Orleans could very easily miss the playoffs and the Knicks ate late lotto. Taking on Noah to pick swap with them isn't worth it.

Anything including the Knicks #1 is a waste of time.

It increases the Bulls odds of a draft pick in the 10-14 range and dumps Felicio. Bulls could get Will Hernangomez too since he has requested a trade.

I think taking on the Knicks #1 for Noah is enough. Throw in Rolo and they should be sending a good young player back. Noah's contract is ridiculous.

If they want to dump Noah they will have to give up a first, not swap one.

That seems like minimal return to Bulls for taking on Noah, esp given as noted NO and NYK may well finish at around the same slot.

At best I'd say Noah for the right to swap NO's pick for NYK's (top 2 protected), and if not to execute some future swap (perhaps Bulls have right to swap picks in 2019-21). That gives Knicks the chance to improve around KP and not have the swap be meaningful or even occur if they stay better than Bulls, but gives Bulls an increased chance at a top pick.

How does the draft lottery night work if you have traded away your pick? Do you still show up to it? Is your team's name still drawn or just the team that received it in a trade. I've honestly never seen the draft lottery, so I was just wondering what it looked like. It seems like it would be a miserable night for a team that has protections on it and then the lottery gives it away to another team. :S

Welp, any thoughts of trading for that Knicks pick just went out the window.
