I am on the fence with Winslow. I wish he could develop into a PG. I love his defense, & rebounding.

Assuming Mickey would be willing to resign him via bird rights (and push us into tax), I would be willing to trade Winslow for Lou Williams. We desperately need a creator, a guy who can put pressure on a defense. Lou is getting to the line 6.3 times a game, and hitting shots at a high rate. You put someone like that in the lineup, and everyone else is in a much more comfortable role, playing off-ball and cutting. We have a ton of complementary players, but too often they are asked to create, which is not in their DNA. I think a guy like that would have a huge impact.

Obviously that's doubling down on the current build. If they don't want to do that, then we should blow it up.

We are engaged in trade talks with Atlanta for Belinelli but possibly getting back a late first from them if a deal involves Winslow and TJ. Could possibly flip that first for Hood. Atlanta has three first round picks to play around with.

Huh. Well I don’t know if he will ever be reliably healthy but when Hood is on he’s really good. He gets his own shot and makes tough ones. Creates for others. Patient and smart. He’s not super engaged all the time in Utah though and seems to always have a hangnail or tummy ache that keeps him out of too many games. Maybe if he went to Miami as a featured starter he could get over that stuff, if he did he’s a star.

I don’t think he wants to be in Utah anymore, he’s a good dude by all accounts and I know players love Miami.

Barry Jackson came out last night with a report that we are looking at Belinelli at the same time he was pulled from game.
