Bottom line, it seems to me like GTN and pointgod are fueling race wars on here...and I'm 99.99% certain that those 2 posters are the same dude. they've been "and1" each other for 9 months. and backing each other up, laying cover for each other. and basically write the same stuff almost verbatim. Sorry, I'm petty and watch that kind of shxt. without even trying. that's just how i read things. I mean this aint rocket science, sherlock holmes work here. This foo' is pretty transparent.

For all the debate over the House Republican memo pointing to alleged misconduct by some current and former FBI and Justice Department officials, one crucial point hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves.

And it relates in an unexpected way to special counsel Robert Mueller.

The point is: There are strict rules requiring that each and every fact presented in an FBI request to electronically spy on a U.S. citizen be extreme-vetted for accuracy — and presented to the court only if verified.

There’s no dispute that at least some, if not a great deal, of information in the anti-Trump “Steele dossier” was unverified or false. Former FBI director James Comey testified as much himself before a Senate committee in June 2017. Comey repeatedly referred to “salacious” and “unverified” material in the dossier, which turned out to be paid political opposition research against Donald Trump funded first by Republicans, then by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.


Presentation of any such unverified material to the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court to justify a wiretap would appear to violate crucial procedural rules, called “Woods Procedures,” designed to protect U.S. citizens.

Yet Comey allegedly signed three of the FISA applications on behalf of the FBI. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe reportedly signed one and former Attorney General Sally Yates, then-Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein each reportedly signed one or more.

Woods Procedures

Woods Procedures were named for Michael Woods, the FBI official who drafted the rules as head of the Office of General Counsel’s National Security Law Unit. They were instituted in April 2001 to “ensure accuracy with regard to … the facts supporting probable cause” after recurring instances, presumably inadvertent, in which the FBI had presented inaccurate information to the FISA court.

Prior to Woods Procedures, “[i]ncorrect information was repeated in subsequent and related FISA packages,” the FBI told Congress in August 2003. “By signing and swearing to the declaration, the headquarters agent is attesting to knowledge of what is contained in the declaration.”

It’s incredible to think of how many FBI and Justice Department officials would have touched the multiple applications to wiretap Trump campaign adviser Carter Page — allegedly granted, at least in part, on the basis of unverified and thus prohibited information — if normal procedures were followed.

bruh, it aint my fault that HRC and the DNC fully rigged the democratic primary election against bernie sanders and then also against Trump in the general. While they didn't break laws that i know of the in the primaries, they did in the general. And while breaking those laws they used the entire top officials of the outgoing Obama administration so brazenly and in ways that it is impossible for Obama not to have known. And if he didn't know then shame on him because this is going to come back and bite him at least a little.

And none of that is my fault. Nor is it funny. or "entertaining." Not for trump fans. not for bernie fans. and at this point not even for Hillary fans. Or Obama fans. And definitely not for fans of democracy. The only thing we dont know ( or at what level) is if Obama, HRC, WJC were fully in on it...or if they just dangled carrots in front of career justice and DOJ people like Lynch, Comey, mccabe, Strzok, Rosenstein, or Ohr who jumped. Or if HRC, the DNC were the orchestrators. Or if wealthy people in the shadows orchestrated all of this and the DNC politicians were merely pawns in their own game of thrones.

What we do know is that what went down has been a travesty. A complete perversion of justice. A complete perversion of our election cycle. And a complete perversion of most of our media who have been worse than complicit in all of this. the media have been agents of demise to our democratic and justice institutions. Trump, the GOP, and good journalists and lawyers around the States are dead set on figuring this out and exposing it. And they are doing the right thing. And I dont care who gets exposed. I dont care how innocent they thought they were being. I dont care how good their intentions were ("saving us all from donald trump"). I dont give a fuq. And I dont care if you are not entertained along the way. I try to be funny and engaging but its not my responsibility to entertain. I'm just trying to help those institutions discover and uncover all of this corruption along the way in my own little corner of the world. And its all happening. its all getting exposed.

Unelected officials behind the scenes should not be pulling the strings of our government. whether by blackmail or perversions of justice where they hand pick officials for us by selectively leaking fake or phony information. And the media cant be allowed to run with whatever unvetted "facts" with unnamed sources. this must stop.

Getting away from all of this corruption for a second, the american people need to stop requiring our top official to act like choir boys and girl scouts. Its making all of them subject to black mail. One mis step and they are at risk to black mail or risk losing their position in government. whether they go on trips and get set up to sleep with people as part of international sting operations abroad or here in the US. This idea of a perfect human being is a despicable ploy. No one is perfect. They all have warts. Lots of them.

But our politicians always end up making decisions that destroy and chance for a healthy and sustainable future because they can simply borrow money. Whether it be greed or black mail, both or other they just keep on borrowing money. Thats not problem solving!!!!! I can borrow money from here to oblivion and run my business or my house hold. Thats not problem solving though!! Its just borrowing money and kicking cans down the road. And I argue that we cant solve problems in government because we dont elect actual problem solvers. Instead we elect people that look like they have lived some kind of perfect life and speak well in front of audiences and cameras. And this needs to change.

If we are going to fix any of this, we need to start exposing the system first. Exposing the bad players. And Removing their ability to influence our politicians. Those bad players all lurk in the money source puts. Established wealth. And we wont be able to get to them first so we go after nearly all campaign finance loop holes first and foremost. Then remove money sources from lobbying and "speech" loop holes after one serves in public office. We cant have a system where the clintons leave office with less than $1 million in net worth and run a $300 million foundation just a few short years later while hillary is in congress, then running for president.twice. She dont give a fuq that she lost. Not really. they raised over $1trillion in the process and still hold over $300 million of it in trust and personal. We.can.not.that!!! A system like that will always pervert democracy. Always pervert justice.

And there are not many answers here. To any of this. The closest thing I have to an answer to stop most of this (potential) corruption is that only billionaires can be president and top ranking cabinet members or even member of congress. Or maybe we should pay them more in their official capacities? Because dangling $1-2 million(even $50-100 million) in front of a billionaire doesn't move their needle like it does someone worth $2 million or less.

So We also need 100% campaign finance reform.
And 100% lobbying reform.
and 100% disclosure on all income and wealth.
and in real-time and continue it for 20 years after office. and like the executive order that Trump, we need laws that congress, appointees, and cabinet can not lobby for at least 20 years after serving.

and the big daddy of them all is we must have tax laws that recapture all wealth upon death removing all the carve outs and loop holes. You can get as rich as you want while alive but upon death you can not keep passing it down because it rigs the game for the wealthy creating what is essentially a permanent ruling class not unlike royalty of europe. But this is MUCH WORSE because back then the people knew who the "evil" guy who forced them to live in despair. He lived in the castle. In this current carnation, we dont exactly know unless they are so brazen with their wealth and influence that they constantly are putting their thumb on legislation and political campaigns and do so in broad day light. But they dont have to. They can do it all in the shadows just the same. Why do we allow this? All we have to do is get united. Stop letting "them" divide "us."

So we are doing away with things like racism, elitism, chauvinism, misogyny, etc..or we are not? We are making the united states "fair" and the land of equality, or we are not? Eliminating the estate tax is bad economics though. You want people planning for the future, and one incentive to plan for the future is to leave something behind for your kids. Take that away and you lower the time horizon nationwide, which makes it harder to avoid the "only cheat" outcome of infinitely repeated prisoner's games. In English it means you get more corruption, not less.

Yup, and what they should have - at minimum - done to offset that is repeal the law that allows a step up in tax basis to the fair market value upon death for the transferees. I do NOT have a problem with rich people setting up charitable foundations. Without those, a lot of very worthwhile charitable organizations would not exist.
