Get him strength training in the off season and he can become a good modern center down the line. Not the athletic explosive type... But the one that stretches defense out and then drives pass slower big men.... With good passing skills too... A Jokic type.... No way near as good obviously but same mould... Skilled, good vision and passing... Mobile.

Why can't he be as good or better, with 25 lbs increase in muscle weight...most in the lower half.

Bender has unique bbiq ability, coupled with length, and obvious shooting ability. IMO, there's no reason he couldn't be as good, or better, than Jokic, if he gets stronger, and more aggressive on the boards.

Jokic is nearly 3 years older, has had the opportunity to start exclusively, which Bender has not, and is surrounded by better talent overall, and is in a much more stable environment.

With Love out - would Dudley being a spot up three point shooter, stretch 4 help them for the next 6 weeks or so?

My guess, the Cavs want to use Fryes expiring in a bigger deal but just trying to find matches for Dudley and chandler - pretty difficult

Dudley sucks lol. Good veteran and locker room guy. I am sorry but he is not going to make the cavs better lol

That's not true at all. Everyone was saying how embarrassing it was that a 32yo Dudley was so much better than Chriss. Are you saying that he isn't as good as everyone was saying he was?

I'm being snarky again, but I fully agree. Dudley had not looked good this year except in very small snippets... well heck, so has Chriss, but more often.

Anyway, Dudley and Chandler, unfortunately, are $23M we'll have to contend with next year, I'm afraid, in addition to $14.7M for BK, who nobody here wants. This is why I am so against picking up any contract for any player over 29 for a full contract. The risk is too great that their play digresses by the last 2 years of the contract, and we get stuck with it. And in Chandler's case, he's just not part of our future.

Dudley could still be a fine player, who could help a contending team off the bench, or start in a pinch. 32 is not what it used to be, a lot of players are still in their prime, or very close to it at that age. With all the advancements n players taking care of themselves a lot better, 32 isn't the death sentence it used to be, not even close.

But Dudley is more interested in cannolis n bear claws than he is windsprints n speed drills. His poor work ethic has caused his decline and is a joke even on a rudimentary locker room level and being a leader. What a waste of 10m, can't even use him to trade as an asset to a contending team. He'll just be here til his contract expires or we buy him out. He's going to be massive when he stops "playing", coronaries abound.

Interesting ... wondering if the Suns coaching staff is purposely limiting Chriss to less than 20 minutes per game. He had 19 minutes against the Lakers.

Naw, man, don't you pay attention? I already had this figured two weeks ago; GM LeBron is building his super team here in PHX. He's bringing Paul, PG, Himself, and Boogie here.

Paul / Booker / PG / LeBron / Boogie

Now, if we can just upgrade that scrub at SG, we'll be set.

Talk about upsetting the balance of the NBA...then get a billboard advertising..."Your Move, Golden State!"

...and then I wake up again, from that awesome dream, only to still see Chandler, Ulis, and the gang...sigh...

With this roster and schedule the rest of the way odds are they end up top five. But even worst case scenario and they do fall 6-8 they still probably get bamba or JJJ two guys who are nice prospects that fit a major need. Hell it wouldn't shock me young fell to that range, I get the sense he's a little more highly regarded by media and fans than gms. The interesting decisions will be if the suns pick in that range and its porter or bagley that are the last of the good teir available then its a decision to trade the pick or one of the young forwards on the roster to make room.

Bron to Houston, they have no $ for Capela.

Sign Capela. Draft Trae Young.

Young | Knight | Ulis
Booker | Reed
Jackson | Warren (6th man)
Chriss | Bender
Capela | Williams

Profit.

Yet in reality, it's...

Knight / Young
Booker / Reed
Warren / JJ
Chriss / Bender
Chandler / Capela

Does Len realize that his style of play doesn’t go well with most winning teams?

You gotta wonder how the Knicks future looks after their franchise big man and only developed young player tore his ACL. I've been reading that the vast majority of his injuries have been on the left leg, and there are concerns about his left kinetic chain having weak points that are forcing other areas to compensate and eventually become overworked/injured. It's going to be interesting to see how this changes his career, hopefully not too much of that mobility and athleticism is sapped away.

I'm sure Frank will get more time now that they know playoffs aren't going to happen. They're going to be stiff tank competition for sure, the rest of their schedule is pretty tough and it's not hard to see them finishing at/under 30 wins.

I'm sure it scares the hell out of the Knicks but really I doubt it changes much from what they will try to do. As you mentioned it probably means they lose more this season and get a better pick but they weren't going to make the playoffs anyway. I would think they still offer Zinger a huge extension this offseason and hope like hell he can stay healthy because the other options suck for them. Trading him for .75 on the dollar doesn't move the needle for them. Their best hope is still that he becomes the superstar that he could be it's just a lot more scary now because another major leg injury and things get really dicey.

When the Suns were 16-28, so 38 games to go I thought they would do well to get to 27 wins - and that was with a healthy booker and no major trades (Chandler, Daniels) as the schedule was so tough. Since then, they are 2-9 and with the Spurs tonight, 2-10, if Booker doesn't play.

I do not see them in the 6-8 range unless they make a trade to get players that make them better. Which would be okay if they get wins because of players on the roster long term and not just trading for George Hill , for example, to get a few wins this year.

I do agree that Bamba or JJJ would be fine players. In order though, I would like Ayton, Doncic, or Young.

See what happens in the next 24 hours - I predict maybe Len and Daniels - but that's it.

You know it is hard to find many players who are over about 7'1" that dont have major knee problems over the course of their career. Looking back I have heard a lot of hype on these guys but almost all of them seem to have shortened careers and lots of knee injuries.

I dont think Dragan can handle much of bulking process tbh
It's pretty clear that he already lost some of his quickness and vertical

if he becomes slow footed like BroLo i'll be pretty mad

I disagree. If anything, he's looked lighter on his feet the last week or so.

Though he got Randle-handled, I actually thought he did a pretty good job on him, given the size disparity. Getting stronger will help.

I read that quote and I started laughing. Len hasn’t done anything in the NBA to be talking like that.

i'm fine with his actual weight... he looks slower but isnt a deal breaker like adding more 25lbs

Come on, he’s like eurocup player. We don’t need him.

Return to Phoenix Suns
