Re: Around the NBA, 2017-18 Season thread
Kerr about Curry
"What impresses me most about Steph is that he knows that if we wanted to, we could play every game like we did last game," Kerr said. "Just put him in high screen every play, and he could average 35 a game. He really could. But it wouldn't be good for the rest of the team. It wouldn't be good for the other guys' rhythm. It wouldn't be good for the flow of the game; it would feel more stagnant, which disrupts the rhythm of the other players.
"So his willingness not only to accept that but to embrace it because of his desire for other people to succeed, is fantastic. And then you combine that with the awareness of, ‘All right, we need this tonight. I'm going to get 49 and we're going to run a bunch of high screens and I'm going to take over.' That kind of combination is incredibly powerful."
--
This kind of maturity is what I want DLo to learn. I'm happy that we're starting to see glimpses ..until he fully embraces it he won't be a true leader

Around the NBA, 2017-18 Season thread
Cavs gave up 125 Points to the Pistons.....without Reggie Jackson, Avery Bradley, Blake Griffin, Reed, Tobias Harris, Marnjonvic.
Love is out 6-8 weeks with a broken hand.
...The Cavs are only 2 games out of 7th.

I cannot believe there are people (Dray is one) calling for Jaylen Brown to be an all star. The kid is averaging 14, 6 and 1 in 32 minutes with a PER of 13, TS% of .550. Just ridiculous to suggest he could be an all star.

The Cavs are being beaten by nearly 40 pts by the Rockets in a saturday night game on national television.
I can understand now why Cav fans covet our pick. their team is full of dog ass players.

I can’t believe how many guys from that team still have jobs. Markel (Houston), Larkin (Boston), Ellington (Miami), Reed (Detroit).

Ty Lue is right...there are too many agendas on the team. How can any player develop a profound feeling of trust when your team's best player has 1 foot out of the door and openly praises the performances of players on other teams?
None of those guys want to be on this team when LBJ leaves.
I never critiqued Kyrie for leaving. He knew there was a nasty storm brewing.

Out of all of those guys, I really liked Markel Brown and I'm glad he's still able to live his dream. He was a hard worker.

Yep. The fish rots from the head down. always. Lebron is the leader, but its hard to follow a guy who is going to bail on you next season and on top of that throws shade constantly.
Kyrie looks like a genius for forcing his way out of there. Now he's the leader of his own team which is the best team in the East and on a squad that will consistently good with his starting SG and SF basically kids. And this doesn't even account for the return of Gordon Heyward.

And there have been reports that Heyward could be available to return by the end of the season.
IMO, if he's 100% healthy, let him play. Who knows...maybe they could upset the Cavs in a series.

I don't think it would be an upset if the Cavs lose to either Boston or Toronto. I think both teams are better. Lebron would have to go into God Emperor Lebron mode in order to will that team of dogs to a win past the 2nd rd imo. when I watch the Cavs play they disgust me, they remind me of the 2012-13 Nets.

If I were San Antonio, I'd try to find a way to clean the books for Lebron to sign with you. Solid franchise, god level coaching, stand up locker room and players, all around culture of winning and built to win now. It's everything Lebron could want as his current team continues to be a dumpster fire. He comes in and lets it be known that all baggage will be checked at the Ohio border. Can you imagine 5 years of prime Leonard with Lebron being both 1A/1B?

LeBron James will be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in the next 24hrs - I'm calling it now

lebron is a great player but I have to question what is going on in Cleveland. That looks like a complete **** show right now.

his impact is beyond the stats and he is one of those guys like a kidd or a barkley who really effect the pace and energy level of a game. not saying he should be an all star but he is right on the cusp.

He’s an athletic kid with potential no different to a guy like Stanley Johnson, T. Prince, Ingram. Just like LeVert, Murray, T. Prince, etc. I absolutely despise the idea he’s an legitimate all-star. Casual hipster fans act like he’s Donovan Mitchell offensively.

They should sell for whatever they can. They're tanking this year & next.
We should be doing the same thing.
