Yes I am. This isn't like the NFL Draft where you hold on to second rounders for a few years and develop them and hope they pan out. Second rounders can be cut as easy as 1, 2 and 3, even after less than a year.

And they can become all-stars as I mentioned with all of those names. But you mentioned Diamond Stone. The NFL Draft is also a horrible comparison because there are 7 rounds in the NFL draft. It's not comparable. Don't mention two second round cuts and then ignore the litany of second round studs I mentioned.

I'm not going to dismiss those picks. A little far in the future though. So that sucks. Can be used in trades is the only plus right now.

If this was the best offer...then they should have waited to trade KOQ. I saw this coming when they didn't play him last night. I just didn't want to believe it. I almost posted it in the PG thread. There is something bigger than him not playing defense. Jeff NEVER gave him a shot this year. Not once. Billy needs to air some dirty laundry after this.

thats my problem.
Being a GM has 3 aspects
1. Savy business mind
2. Identifying players with potential
3. Putting players together to form a cohesive unit

Just from a business perspective, this is a wrong move.
Why trade when his value is down.
It is conceivable that his value could increase if he were given playing time. Why sell low? That's poor business acumen

1) Those 2nd's are likely to be high 2nd's because Charlotte is going into the tank for the next few years

2) WHG isn't likely to get much burn until they dump the higher paid guys in front of him and his value, therefore, won't magically increase in Charlotte

If we didn’t plan to give Willy some burn this season we should of traded him in the offseason when his value was high not camp him on the bench to tank his value we probably could of gotten a mid-late first round pick for him if we traded him before the season

You took a 2nd rounder and developed him into a player, something worth more than a 2nd now - a late first or another young player. Instead you trade him for two more 2nds so you can draft another Cleanthony Early and Slavko Vranes. Do you know how difficult it is to find a player in the 2nd round and have him become valuable? This is an awful trade in all aspects. We got ZERO return on a prospect we developed.

Monk sucking right now doesn't mean WHG nets anything close to that type of player, a highly touted rookie in the middle of his rookie season. I don't think this is a good trade or a bad trade. WHG has gone from underrated to overrated. I'm not going to celebrate the deal or say it's the worst thing ever like I am sure some posters will do. WHG is an absolutely atrocious defender and he's been overrated by this board to the point where people were actually expecting a first round pick for him.

The 2nds can also be used in trades. People wanted picks, we have a lot of picks now. And our drafting has actually been a strong point. It's a minor deal, let's not make it out to be a major one.

People wanted 1st round picks.

2nd round picks are useless. They are thrown around the league like candy. And as I mentioned earlier, there's a reason for that. Having an abundance of them isn't something to brag about.

This trade sucks all around. WHG not being a good defender has nothing to do with this trade not being bad.
