Here goes our fan base once again overrating one of our players. Willy just wasn't very good. Last year was fool's gold. Similar to what Shump and Fields did in their first years. He simply overachieved.

He is a terrible defender, which basically negates his skills on the other end of the floor. And yes, big men that can't spread the floor and play no defense aren't going to fetch a lot of value.

God some of you guys live in a fantasy land. There's no way to build a player's value if he sucks every time he's out on the floor. He was given a few opportunities this year and looked terrible. If you're a good player, you should be ready to be called upon whenever you're given the chance.

i didn't think he was good either, but he was viewed higher than 2 near useless 2nd rounders. why not do willy and chicago's 2nd rounder for monk? they're not using him. maybe he'd have a better time here next to KP

If we didn’t plan to give Willy some burn this season we should of traded him in the offseason when his value was high. Not camp him on the bench to tank his value. we probably could of gotten a mid-late first round pick for him if we traded him before the season

Considering how the salary cap is turning out to be, these 2nd round picks will be quite attractive in trades. I think it's an OK move.

Sark and I have addressed this a thousand times. Our entire point was that his value wasn't enough to even get the conversation goink. And here we are.

His value was never enough to get it going so it was a moot point yes. But there were posters that wouldn't have even offered it to the Cavs. I'm just saying homegrown over-infatuation than anything

1. Hang up
2. Stay on the line and cleanse us of assets



This trade is meh. If we can turn around and get a nicer piece by attaching some of these smaller pieces maybe it's for the best in the long haul. From my perspective, we're behind the 8-ball and played our hand poorly.

Guys, ground bound bigs are not the present or future of the league. Nobody even wants centers at the moment and there will be a glut of them available in free agency. Willy is good, his contract was great and, even then, his trade value was low and would get lower and lower as time went on. Yes we could've kept him but he is not a starter on a good team and I don't see why he will ever be better than Kanter (who himself is probably a 6th man on a good team given his defensive issues but has less trade value given his salary). Yes two seconds suck and we'll see what we do with them but I'm not going up in arms about it solely because I think a great team will comprise good wings/pg/and a center that can defend and switch out in space for us and WHG (or Kanter) are neither.

We don't play the mother **** 2nd rounders we have sitting on our bench, that are obviously better than Lance Thomas. What a total waste of a fantastic team controlled NBA minimum deal. SMFM and Freckles McDickwrinkle are so out of their element. If this is all to get some dreadful replacement level player like Elfrid Payton I'm just switching **** teams.
