wow, you weren't kidding. 1.43, 1.50, 1.56 over the next three years is a crazy cheap contract. Usually the late 1st round contracts double in value the last couple years but this one stays extremely low for whatever reason, that's awesome. Last year is unguaranteed too in case he really sucks.

I wonder if we're going to be trading Willy somewhere else. It just doesn't make much sense to me if we're fighting for playoffs to give him any meaningful minutes for awhile, so why'd we pick him up? Unless we just see him as a more long term option than JOB. Trading the 2nds must mean that we aren't planning on tanking anytime soon though.

B.O.B. posted another move has to be on the way. He's our cap guy. Hopefully Frank The Tank or Marvin are on the way out, I'd be stoked to get a protected first rounder for either.

Give them Lamb, WH, Frank The Tank plus whatever not named Kemba (protected 1sts?). Let Kawhi sit the rest of this season to totally heal and gain a Top 8-10 pick. Hire Mitch, hit a home run with the pick! That would be the dream!

My take on this after having all day to think about it is that I like it as a value move and think WHG is an interesting prospect (and that contract is fire), but part of me is still annoyed that we seem to be spending resources adding more centers to the roster, which is an indication that we are still trying to cater to Clifford (how many f'ing centers/bigs does he think you need on an NBA roster these days?).

We really need to move Howard at the deadline or in the offseason (and possibly Kaminsky if WHG outplays him and we can find an athletic PF) to balance our roster and get a coach who doesn't think the key to winning in the 2018 NBA is playing as many plodding 7 footers as possible.

As long as Zeller and Willy can play alongside each other, I’m fine with moving Frank.

Franks saving grace is that he does spread the floor some while Zeller at pf allows teams to pack the paint.
If Batum played some pf it would not be an issue.

Got to assume that the Spurs would only trade Kawhi if they get back massive value. For the Hornets the only things that start to come close are Kemba ... or a top 3 pick. So if not trading Kemba that would be a summer trade which required the Hornets to win in the lottery - and quite frankly, if the Hornets get a top 3 pick in this draft I don't want them to trade it.

My All-Underrated Draft Pick Team for 2015:

PG: Delon Wright: Great size to see over the defense, rebound and defend. I would love to end up with a guy like this backing up Kemba PG. A 6'5" pass first herky jerky crafty PG tremendous defender who is an 83% free throw shooter. If this guy was 19 instead of 23 he'd be a top 10 pick.

SG: R.J. Hunter: scouts had this kid tagged as the next Klay Thompson before a drop in shooting average this year took the sheen off. Meanwhile, analytics show him in a good light because he fills the box score with rebounds, steals and blocks. So which is he, the guy who shot 40% from 3 his first two seasons or the one who had to carry the team while draped with defenders and shot 30%? The 89% free throw % might give a clue.

SF: Sam Dekker: this board hasn't talked much about Dekker because he appears to be more of an all around player, ala Hendo, rather than a "shooter." But Dekker has great size, frame, mobility, versatility and bball IQ. He's improved steadily every year. At 6'9 If this guy starts to make 3 pters at the same rate as, say Gordan Hayward, he could easily end up being the best wing from this draft in a couple of years.

PF: Trey Lyles: Like Dekker nobody on the CHA board is talking about Lyles, because his skill set overlaps with Zeller and Vonleh. But Lyles has the size, skill set and mobility to be a really good PF in the NBA. With WCS, Dakari Johsnon and Marcus Lee at KEN this year Lyles played out of position at SF, and still made tremendous contributions to Calapari's team. It doesn't surprise me to see headlines that the Knicks are interested. Is Trey Lyles the key to CHA moving up in a trade with the Knicks?
