It comes down to how much you like him over Luke because he's likely the guy to get squeezed if we bring in Harris.

Probably an upgrade right now based purely on experience, but is it worth stunting Luke's growth?

To me, given the cap situation of this team (which will make it tough to add major talent over the next couple years), I think we need to give Luke a chance to keep that rotation spot and keep improving.

Statistically, Joe and Luke are pretty close to each other, so it's not really worth the downside imo. If Stanley weren't coming on strong I might say bring him in to take those minutes, but SJ's gonna be hard to keep on the bench if he keeps playing like this.

Harris would be for depth more than anything. You've got Bullock who's in uncharted territory in terms of continuity and then you've got Luke who could possibly hit the rookie wall. Harris could play some 3, too. There's enough minutes there, just maybe not every game.

True, but this is Stan we're talking about coaching, not us. If he's got an even semi-comparable veteran he's gone go with the vet until they totally bomb after a million opportunities.

Right now Luke, Bullock, and Stanley are all inexperienced guys who are playing well because they know they're gonna get a fair shot every night. No more looking over the shoulder since Stan can't go back to Avery (or Tobias) the moment one of them makes a mistake.

Adding a guy like Harris definitely seems appealing, but I really think there's a ripple effect there that we have to look at as well and consider if it's worth it... We also don't know if Harris can be effective outside of the Nets system, which is clearly very friendly to Joe's playstyle with all of the threes they launch. Look at Dinwiddie's numbers after he looked like a G-League player in Detroit...

I'm like... becoming borderline obsessive about Blake Griffin. He's such a smart player, and it shows in taking over when needed, and more importantly making all of our wings look better. So happy with him.

Imagine Jarrett Allen coming off the bench with that shot blocking .
