Maybe this is part of a larger move to get Jordan?

Surprised the Cavs included the first more than anything.

Yeah, let's see what happens. On surface looks really dumb for CLE.

I know it made it possible for him to LA but I don't see it. THey'd still need more space for a 2nd guy and that team with LBJ and one other star such as PG/CP3 still has no shot at beating GSW. I don't think LBJ is ready to give up on getting another ring, he needs one or two more

I am pretty confident DJ is going to Cleveland, so let's see if more is in the works

Cavs helping the Lakers clear cap space is great.

Lebron PR machine already ramping up to determine the next scapegoat on the Cavs for when they inevitably lose:

David Blatt - check
Kevin Love - check
Kyrie Irving - check
Isaiah Thomas - check
Tyronn Lue - ???
Jordan Clarkson - ???
The Kardashians - ???
Kevin Love (again) - ???

Lakers are kind of fun, actually. Might not be a bad place for LeBron next year.

They couldn't make it work with IT. Needed him to come off the bench, which I don't know he was willing to do. Also, he was a shell of his former self, at least in the interim. Maybe they could have gotten more value in return, but they'll get use out of the players in return, which they weren't out of IT, so it's a positive for them from that standpoint.

Only real issue to me is Clarkson's contract. Gilbert's going to have to pay the tax on it. It's worth it if LeBron stays. Whether this is a positive move for them in the end hinges on that. And that partially hinges on the Cavs making the finals this season.

Edit: yeah, didn't think about clearing space for the Lakers. Could certainly backfire in long run. Should have worked with someone else if they could have.

Cavs pick is going to be nothing, might as well be a second

Nance is better than most of the Cavs on D, Clarkson can score some off the bench and won't snitch to the media

Neither of these teams are giving IT a contract, and would anyone bet that he gets back to his best by the playoffs? I like it for the Cavs tbh

Fine by me. I always thought the NBA had plans for Giannis to land there

IT is going to be the 2019 version of Lou Williams. Somebody's going to get him as a cheap microwave and look real smart.

If the Clips are asking for Green and a 1st from the Spurs for Avery Bradley we should offer Snell and Wilson and see what they say.

and inquire about Harrell too
