Lebron James does not need 30 games to defeat the East. This league is about talent, and the Cavs are now full of it

completely disagree but let's see

Cavs trade their trash for good young players.

They're better than they were, but it's hard to not to be better. They were getting blown out every night with LeBron James on their team.

In terms of match-ups, they still don't have a guy who can shut down DeRozan. George Hill hasn't had meaningful defensive minutes in a long time - we'll see how he impacts Lowry. Rodney Hood is a good shooter who can't defend. Same goes for Jordan Clarkson - who has never played a minute of playoff basketball.

Lebron has yet to win a title in the first year with a new team, and this is a completely new team with less that half a year to gel. Then when love comes back, it’ll be another wrench in the equation.

And gained Clarkson, Nance, Hood, and Hill.

WOW

Seriously this is absurd I don't even know how they keep getting away with this. Korver for nothing last year, all their trash this year for good players. This is so ridiculous I wouldn't be surprised if there was some league tampering involved to keep the storyline going...

I think it depends on who you're trying to incorporate. Incorporating ball handlers/playmakers can take more time and chemistry, but incorporating a spot up 3-pt shooter or grunt post player can be seamless.

Cavs are better now for sure. Gel for what? In the playoffs give Lebron the ball and let the shooters shoot

Yeah, could be trickier with those two, than say, Nance and Hood.

Could have been worse. I'd be a lot more scared if they got Kemba. But I guess there's still time for that.

I am...Cavs were in shambles before this, and essentially traded all their broken down, old, injury prone player minus Jae for Young, Athletic players who can either shoot as good if not better than the guys who they shipped out and play better D. This gives Cleveland options to play whatever style they want too.

Our hope is since there is soo much roster turnover, is they don't gel in time, but they were already struggling mightly before, so it's worth the shot.

So frustrating being a Raptor fan at this moment. But we have the best chemistry in the East and are playing great ball so just have to continue focusing on ourselves.

Can somebody update me on what their new line-up is here?
Losing the plot with all these waste-man trades they sent out.

I think Gilbert was reading RealGM and just wanted to teach RaptorsLife a lesson.

Jae Crowder is technically the superior defender who just happens to be having a porous season.

Hood puts the ball in the basket and Crowder does not. The refs play the defence for cavs.

Interestingly enough JR Smith is the more proven career shooter. Remember JR shot .400 on close to 7 attempts in '15-'16 - everyone thinks JR is a joke now because he can't hit anything but he could easily heat up later in the season and do way better than anything Hood could contribute.

Neither player helps their D which is the point I was trying to make.
