Got Payton for a second. Not bad.

That is a great deal for PHX. We used a surplus #2 to pick up a good passing pg. We need to swing for the fences in the last hour or over the summer. DJ+Love would be an interesting add to what we have in place. Not advocating it necessarily, just think now is the time to build.

Any chance we steal Exum or Payton for a second rounder?

An IT/Booker back court would be interesting, but IT seems to burn bridges wherever he goes. Super red flag.

An IT and Booker back court would get ripped to shreds every game.

He probably wouldn't be any worse than Ulis. But he'll put butts in seats and keep us in games. That's the only positive I could see from it.
The negative obviously being he will get more wins than we need

I don't imagine Booker would like to watch IT pound the rock all game jacking up shots.

At least that ends playing our best players painfully out of position.

I think McD told Orlando's GM, "Here is our offer. It'll be here until the deadline."
Orlando got no better offers so they took it.
Not a great sign since it means a bad team doesn't believe in him. If nothing else, he'll hold us over until the summer.

Not my favourite option, but he is a decent young PG. Way better than what we have. Enough to make us more watchable until the end of the season, and we can retain him next season if he plays great.

I really thought Alex Len would be traded. Love the Payton trade.

really good trade for the Suns

very little risk

he is an RFA - I doubt anybody will sign him long term so he will be on a one year deal next year

if the team starts to win games with Payton - that's much better than signing Thomas - if he were released - and getting "fake wins"

my guess - Payton won't drive too many more wins but maybe the play will be better

Deadline is over and it looks like reports are coming in that Jordan is staying put.
