Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Sucks we had to move wade he was decent and probably could have done in playoffs.
We got better but don’t like we traded a first. Disappointing and crazy morning

I don't like adding the first. I feel like the Lakers would've done the deal without it. I would've liked Hart back if we were adding the 1st. On Wade, I see that as us doing a solid for Wade. He wasn't going to get a lot of PT after these trades. I really would've liked a better defender than Hood. The Cavs need to get more out of Clarkson and Hood defensively to win this trade.
It will be interesting to see what happens this summer. If LBJ leaves, we can trade Love for picks/prospects, play whoever we get with the Brooklyn pick and we won't be starting at ground zero. If LBJ stays, maybe we buy out JR and re-sign Hood.

Re: Trade Deadline aka The Rapture
I'm in on the youth movement and think these deals albeit nothing earth shattering makes us better overall since the majority of our defensive issues were lack of effort due to lack of energy and every one of these players coming in provides energy.
Nance is a gem imo and underated here. Hood although not a great defender has good size and is a solid shooter and a solid 3rd option when Love returns.
Hill provides an upgrade to IT3 as a 2-way player and has been hitting 3's at a respectable % this season.
Clarkson is a high energy player who can carve out a role so it's a non issue he is just a role player.

So, maybe we are done. But something tells me Altman isn't done dealing. we have 2 open roster spots though created from these deals for buyout signings.

Don't know how you can assume anything with Lebron.
If you don't think this team is better after these trades I don't know what to say. It's obvious we are better defensively from day 1.

Re: Trade Deadline aka The Rapture
Players I'm happy are gone: Shump, Rose, & IT. Those were all addition by subtraction.
Players I'm happy are still here: Cedi & Love (also Brooklyn pick).

so the only major issue here is if IT3 fails his Physical in LA
can you imagine the fallout if he ends up coming back

They're not giving back that pick or taking back Clarkson's contract.

Basically a poor attempt at humor.
yeah the pick seems like overpay which is why I am hoping we are flipping Clarkson but time is running out.
Still don't see official protection level on the pick anywhere yet.
Probably just lottery protected.

kind of hoping to see something like this go down, not sure what kind of future pick we would send but a lottery protected 2022 would work. ATL is kind of thin behind Schoder
