I love how open the East is. We can compete with anyone in the east and I understand the Cavs will improve, but at their best they are LeBron, Live and a bunch of solid role players. I like our chances against them

While I was pissed af at first, after looking at the numbers, I've cooled down. The Cavs have no doubt gotten better, but I don't think it's by a considerable degree.

Hill will be a huge help for them and is a certified Raptors killer and Nance Jr. will really help their defence, but Hood is really just a volume shooter (although a good at 3s) and Clarkson is meh. Let's see how they do. It'll be interesting to see how they accommodate so many new players.

Wasp wrote:Why is everyone salivating over these trades again? They got slightly better on defense, lost a bunch of shooting and scoring, and brought in young roleplayers who have never played in the playoffs before (except for Hill of course).

Their biggest upside was always figuring it out with IT. Now, it's LeBron, an injured KLove, and a bunch of unproven young guys. How exactly is that scarier than IT discovering his form from last year, Wade bringing the Playoff heat, and JR + Frye raining threes on our heads?

they are definitely better now but if any team is scared of them than they definitely aren't a good team. Raps have a legit chance and making a run at the east. Cavs are gunna rely even more on LeBron. They will be good, but they won't be unbeatable

This isn't 2K. Let's see how all of these pieces actually come together as a team. It takes time to figure things out - the Cavs took half a season with what seemed like solid pieces and couldn't figure anything out.

I honestly don't think this has changed much. Playoff-Wade was the scariest player that changed teams in all of these moves personally, and now we don't have to face that.

Watching a lifetime of basketball has taught me that Championship caliber teams are predicated on two things; superstar players and defense.

Last season Lebron and Kyrie Irving were the superstars and Cavs actually played half decent defense. This year they're playing almost zero defense and their rebounding hasn't been great either.

Expecting to play in the final and having almost no defense to speak of defies all basketball logic in my mind.

Cavs are going back straight to the finals again. You're literally playing yourself if you think not

Hill was a nice pickup, but they would have been more dangerous had they dealt their first for Jordan.

Yawn.
Zero chemistry. Zero defense. As of right now they probably not even going to get home court advantage. Celtics and Us are clearly better than them this year and if they get he bucks in first round they might not even get to second round

The Raptors... That is who! With the special blend of reffing... We dont stand a chance!
They got younger faster... Talk about fix...
GMs knowing how desperate they were should have gouged them but no... This totally shows that NBA is becoming WWE... Pure ball is gone!

Lol same story every year by delusional fans on this board. Everyone thinks we're going to finally beat the Cavs but it never happens.

Couple notable weaknesses

No Consistent 3rd scorer

Hood and Clarkson can score but are super streaky. Especially from 3.

No other playmaker.

Only LeBron and Love are above average playmakers at their postions.

No reliable interior defense

Lebron is the best rim protector on that Roster.

They are better then yesterday but far from unbeatable.

Hood shoots an incredible 39% from 3 on a staggering 7 attempts per game. He's 37% on his career on 5 attempts/game. That's not streaky at all, in fact he's gonna be their consistent 3rd option.

We all know Lebron can find and setup shooters easily, Hood will be no exception. Look for him to shoot over 40% from 3 when he's playing beside a real superstar.

Doesnt mean hes not streaky. He has months at sub 35% shooting from deep. He shot 30% from 3 in January.

George Hill and Rodney Hood are both made to play with Lebron. Nance will play well for them. Cavs figured it out... This sucks. The only thing that gives me hope is if Clarkson is a cancer.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
