It's hard to believe a person could be so attached to a player and team that if it weren't for bad luck, it would have no luck at all! I literally couldn't sleep last night! :(

Now let's focus on the future and getting a new GM to fix us in the offseason somehow without trading a player that is the heart and soul of Charlotte and The Carolinas!

Hold on now. It's not over yet and this was Gerald Wallace territory in 2011.

Phoenix got Elfrid Payton for a 2nd rounder... I'm not a fan of his, but we could've traded those two 2nds and MCW for Payton and we'd have a capable backup PG... WTF

I’m not sure MCW is as bad as Payton is.... they are the same player but MCW offers more defense and Payton more passing. Neither can shoot

I would honestly take present-day Jeff McInnis over MCW.

Has the trade deadline always come before the All-Star break?

I always thought it went All-Star break then trade deadline shortly thereafter......

https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.fcgi?request=1&sum=0&player_id1_hint=Elfrid+Payton&player_id1_select=Elfrid+Payton&player_id1=paytoel01&y1=2018&player_id2_hint=Michael+Carter-Williams&player_id2_select=Michael+Carter-Williams&player_id2=cartemi01&y2=2018

Payton isn't very good, but he is infinitely better than MCW. Not sure I'd want to give up any picks for him, even 2nds. Hes not a long term solution and not good enough to make a huge difference this year.

They moved it up this year after Boogie essentially got benched in the All-Star game due to a trade.

I honestly had no idea Sheldon Mac was a person; I just thought Shams meant Shelvin Mack.

Cant fault Hornets for not dealing Walker to Cleveland if they were withholding the BKN pick. Needed that for fair value.
Pretty disappointing to see no significant moves towards rebuilding though. Charlotte remains mired in mediocrity with the same middling treadmill roster and 9-12 range draft pick they always have. Its like watching Groundhog day each season

Lovely narrative-spinning here, Cleveland "chose" not to trade for Kemba.

What’s sad is I remember being excited he fell to us because he was being projected top 5. Guess there’s a reason he fell. I hope the same won’t be said for Monk when it’s all said and done.

Same here.

Will be fun when folks do the math and figure out where that MEM 2nd came from to get Peyton.

In years past I would have just assumed kept MCW, but Elfrid has been balling this season. Not convinced he'd be all that much of an upgrade though.

So CLE just rolling with one C on the roster, who happens to be injured.

We just have to hope our Donovan Mitchell type player slips to our pick. We know we aren't trading up, at least not as long as Cho is GM.
