Looks like we're high on bigs for this coming draft. Pretty good trade for us, even if he doesn't pan out 100%
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah, but we won't be playing the Spurs on 4 days of rest, without Chandler or Booker, while we're on a back to back every night lol. I'm sure we'll be fine, but I wouldn't underestimate how big of an improvement Payton is over Ulis, who probably would have his troubles as a starter in the G-League.

I know it was kinda joke :D I am really happy with the trade. I think we'll look much better.

Lol I figured, you weren't really wrong though

I think it's a really good trade for us too. No reason for us to have 4 second rounders, and it's an instant improvement to our team without taking us out of top pick contention.

I think that Payton is the better player, not even close.
IDK about the fit, he is a worse shooter than Canaan but he looks better at everything else.

Now we should trade for Andre Drummond and his shoulder hair.

Not sure if they are better than the Celtics.

Without LeBron Cavs still nice.

Love, Hood, Clarkson, picks... Love goes back being a 25/12 big man and he has shooters to help him. They just need depth... And with high picks They can surround the team with more talent.

Brooklyn ping pong balls will probably win the lottery and Doncic goes to Cleveland and then the Lakers ping pong balls will win the 2nd pick and Ayton will go to Boston. That's the type of stuff that happens in the NBA....Boston/Cleveland top two picks....and especially the Suns since we traded one of them. Meanwhile, we will drop from 5th to 8th.

If Cavs get number 1 pick.... There has to be some sort of revolt. Every time they need a boost or when LeBron leaves lol... They get a boost.

Payton lacks 3pt shooting.

But he is like Andre Miller v2.0
Not explosive nor flashy but more finesse and relies on awareness and passing skills.

Someone to control the offense finally.

Secondly, Josh Jackson has a hair rival.

Wish both just shave it off, get a buzz cut or short flat top.

I'm a little worried he could lead us to unnecessary wins, but I'm pretty confident that we'll still end up in the top 5 with Memphis keeping Evans, Bulls keeping Lopez, and our tough remaining schedule.

We'll just lose by 10-20 instead of 48.

if we see the team playing better
a PG that doesn't get pushed around
somebody that helps open things up for Booker, Warren, Bender, Jackson, Chriss

the wins may not happen these last 26 games
but maybe Payton shows he can be a contributor next year - the suns need help -

Already sick of how much talk there has been of Jackson cutting his hair so he can shoot better and now this....

Really like this trade considering how little we gave up. If he's garbage then just don't resign him, but we had more 2nd rounders than we could realistically use. Hopefully he just ends up as a good backup next season.

Are you the guy who hypes up the crowd during timeouts at Suns games? Or do you just share his name?

Its the internet. People talk about things all the time. As Jackson gets better and better his hair fades away to the background.

Payton though... That **** on his head is ridiculous. Its covers his eyes when he stops moving due to momentum.

Payton’s defensive rating was the highest on the Magic among rotation players, a horrendous 113.6. Even worse, Orlando’s defensive rating drops to 104.2 when he’s off the floor.

Despite how bad the Suns have been defensively this year, only Greg Monroe’s 115.8 defensive rating was worse on the Suns.

Pair this with an unpredictable 3-point shot and you’ve got someone who isn’t a great long-term fit next to Devin Booker.

I’ll bet Payton is STILL better than Tyler god damn Ulis.

A pittance. Perhaps that's a decent wage for some.

For a second rounder? I’m cool with that. It would be great if he shot better, but running an offense would be a welcome asset.
