Post#1 » by BrunoSkull » Fri Feb 9, 2018 5:13 am

Hi newest Kings fan here,

I know Bruno might not get playing time but I kindly request for his status progress for remaining years with the new team. Any discussion that can keep me informed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I hope he gets some playing time so we can see what we have and if he is worth signing after this season. It would be nice if he could help us tank while showing potential.

Saw this on the Raps board: Kings now have their version of Steph and KD.

You should waive him so he can come home to the 905. Bruno 4 life!

For your viewing pleasure

He's also the #1 Karl Anthony Towns stopper besides Jeff Teague

Might be headed out to Reno this month on a trip to make some sports bets and legal weed, so I'll let you know how he does if he's playing in the G League again...

He better play. He's the only player on the roster that can play that SF/PF role and the Kings have nothing to lose.

What minute range will stop you from freaking out is the real question haha

15? 20? 25?

But real talk, I'm with you in the sense that I'm eager to see him on the court out of curiosity more than anything. Hope comes later. I'm also aware that it may not work out and we may not get to see what we want.

Reading the Toronto board it sounds like Bruno has no BBIQ and completely spaces out at the NBA level. Makes sense with his limited experience. One poster said he passed the ball to the other team haha.

With that said he sounds perfect for the tank and to see if there is anything there!

Who knows maybe after 25 games the lights won't be as bright to him?

Vlade and co is trying to change the culture by adding players either from winning programs or with personal accomplishments. Therefore we drafted NCAA champion Justin Jackson, two NCAA player of the year in Frank Mason and Buddy Hield, and also Euroleague champion Bogdan Bogdanovic. The only missing piece to complete our culture transformation is ... to get a G-League Champion in Bruno Caboclo.

There are a lot of dumb posters on the raps board who like to hate. Since team is playing well and our main guys are all producing Bruno is the whipping boy. Last year it was Carroll.

Bruno is a work in progress. You are getting a kid with a lot of potential.

Right now he is a good defender who could be great because of his freak like arms. He has a sweet looking 3 pointer but doesn't hit as often as it should.

The bad is also very obvious. Yes, low bbiq. But part of that is nerves. He plays smart ball in G league but every time he gets garbage minutes he has a bone head move or two.

Definitely a perfect tank player. Needs minutes this year and will have some bad plays but given some time will show some NBA skills. He also can guard 3-4-5 positions. Jerry Stackhouse has done a great job developing him into a player, but we are a playoff team looking for a championship run with the deepest bench in the league. (OK, chance to get killed by Golden State) Trading Bruno gave us an extra mill under cap to sign a vet.

If you guys play him I think you are going to be very happy with this trade.

As SWAN said, there's a lot of resentment in the Raptors board with Bruno because we skipped out on Rodney Hood and Clint Capela, so a lot of posters senselessly hate on him. Very few have watched his D-League play. There are also people who hate Bruno because other people wanted to see him succeed and were jealous at the amount of attention he received (unwarranted or not).

I wouldn't entirely say that Bruno's BBIQ is lacking. For me a player with terrible IQ is someone who is playing at game speed and still makes mistakes. Bruno when he plays in the D-League that's a bit more at his level makes some really good plays and reads. He's been the best defender in the G-League for a while not. Regardless of level of play I don't think you can do that against with poor BBIQ. It's not great but I don't think it's poor either. When he plays in the NBA it's obvious that he's a step behind everything, the game is too fast for him still.

At this point I believe he's developed enough skill to stick in an NBA game, couldn't say that 2 years ago where he was only good for wide open stand still 3 point shooting. Nowadays he's capable of coming off of screens and pulling up off of pick and rolls. The best thing for him is to throw him in the fire and hope he adapts.

Im at least encouraged by all the love he’s getting from some of the posters who have watched him play. Hope he can put it all together!

this guy cannot play basketball. The only reason he got drafted was because of his long arms and tall frame.

good luck

He's in a different boat than players like Fox, Hield, Willie, Bogdan and maybe Skal because of the relative investment. Not to mention the fact that they are your best offensive players now and you are continuously sporting out the worst offensive team in the league. They need the reins now because much of what you saw on draft day are the exact reasons you don't do what the Kings attempted to do coming into the year. The point was proven yet again, now it's time to stop stepping on every rake in sight Sideshow Bob style.
