just from some vids i watched, Porter will need lots of time to develop.

i need to see some of the others, but Keita would b my choice from this group.

i agree on SGA...he has the green light to shoot and score, but, his decision making is poor, and lots of his moves/actions, will NOT translate to the nba

From that group I'd take Diallo, though I still want Grayson. <3

New DX mock:

1 - Sac - Doncic
2 - Atl - Ayton
3 - Pho - Bamba
4 - Orl - Bagley III
5 - Chi - Jackson
6 - Cle - Porter Jr.
7 - Phi - Young
8 - Dal - Carter jr.
9 - Mem - Mil. Bridges
10 - NYK - Sexton
11 - Uta - Mik. Bridges
12 - Cha - Knox
13 - LAC - R. Williams
14 - Den - T. Brown
15 - Ind - Musa
16 - LAC - Hutchinson
17 - Mil
Daniel Gafford
Arkansas
Freshman
C
Height: 6-foot-11 | Weight: 217 | PER: 27.0

Gafford made a big jump in our most recent top-100 prospect rankings, but the glut of big men in this class makes it difficult for him to crack the lottery in this team-needs-based mock draft. The Bucks are one team that could certainly be looking to add depth at the center spot, where John Henson has been holding the fort down inconsistently and Thon Maker has yet to prove his long-term viability.

Gafford's tremendous physical tools and significant upside will likely help him hear his name called somewhere in the top 20, with a strong pre-draft process.

18 - Por - Walker IV
19 - Chi - Gilgeous-Alexander
20 - Was - B. Brown
21 - Phi - K. Thomas
22 - Pho - Duval
23 - Cle - Simons
24 - Min - Milton
25 - SA - Robinson
26 - Atl - Melton
27 - Bos - Bates-Diop

Don't know much about Daniel Gafford, but I'd rather they take Mitchell Robinson if they go big.

Also think it's going to be very hard to pass up Duval if he's still around at that point. Has some hurdles to overcome, but he has all of the tools to be a great point guard.

I'm still very much on the Diallo bandwagon if mocks are having him fall to the late-1st. His jumper already looks better.

Gafford is pretty good. I'm still not drafting a C unless he can shoot or is a total freak. Of the guys they have available (assuming guys who I'd expect to be there but who aren't listed are not declaring), I'll take a chance on Melton, who I really liked last year but who's been kept off the court this year for utterly bogus reasons.

Could be sold on SGA pretty easily, too. See some Brandon Roy there.

Quite certain I'd give up everyone but Giannis to pair him and Mo Bamba up.

So is Doncic the best prospect since Oden/KD? Since Lebron?

The kid is an absolute phenom. I wish he was over here playing NCAA so I could watch him regularly but I try and follow him as much as possible. He's like a 6'8" infusion of Damien Lillard and Ricky Rubio, I mean it's just incredible tbh. I have no idea how it translates to the pros but I'd give my left nut to find out and see him in a Bucks jersey.

Watching this Villanova Butler game and I'm very impressed with Donte DiVincenzo. He's a very good athlete with a game that almost guarantees it translates to the pro level. He's a redshirt Sophomore so he probably doesn't declare but if he came out I'd buy into the 2nd round to add him to the rotation. I think he becomes a very useful role player. Dare I say I'd easily take him over Grayson Allen who I think their games are pretty similar... Brunson and Spellman are also 2 guys I'd pull the trigger on in the 2nd round too no doubt. Kelan Martin for Butler leads the Big East in scoring, he's a pretty intriguing guy too. There's a lot of talent in this game albeit 2nd round prospects.

26 for Donte and 25 for Kelan right now. Excellent game

Is the Kanter for Xavier Enes' younger bro or something? I feel like that's a dumb question because they look alike lol. But is he any good does anyone know? He's a big kid, looks pretty skilled too...

Kerem, it is his younger brother. He was actually at UW-GB the last three years, and I believe he graduate transferred to Xavier for this last year.

He came on strong 2nd half of last year, but he's not going to be an NBA player. He doesn't have the 7' height like Enes, so that will kill him in the nba. He has a body like a Julius Randle, but is nowhere near as athletic. He has a decent offensive game but won't be able to guard centers or power forwards in the NBA, nor help protect the rim much.

There are a couple 'upside' guys I have my eye on, but the teams who draft Shamet and Brunson are going to be happy, and I want to be happy.

I can't stand low IQ basketball players, nothing derails a team quicker than just 1or 2 stupid guys who don't get it.

Having said that, love to take Isaac Haas in the second round, fits the pattern, 4 yr senior, very talented and this soft team could use a physical presence off the bench.

Yeah, if Porter comes out, I think he'll be the youngest player in the draft. He's starting to show signs of being a really good prospect - and he's an all-around player - passes well, plays defense, has a jump shot with range, and he's still growing. He said doctors told him he's going to be a 7 footer.

I also like Bates-Diop. If we go for someone who can contribute right away, he's the guy. And he can play either forward position.

I agree with you about DiVincenzo over Allen. Allen's not going to make it in the NBA, imo. Brunson's putting up great numbers, but... he's not a true PG, and he's not the kind of athlete that most of the combo guards that make it in the NBA are. I like Spellman - though he still looks over-weight. Btw, I don't like any of the Kentucky players.

Not really enamored with Kentucky at all this year, certainly not the Kentucky talent we are used to seeing. Not sure if I see Brunson as any type of starting caliber guard but I can see him carving out a role on a NBA team. Poor mans Damon Stoudmire maybe? Divicenzo is definitely my guy though, love his game. Spellman could use some NBA strength and conditioning and just like Brunson I think he could find a niche and stick around. But again I'm not seeing any of them as more than 2nd round fliers although if Divicenzo finishes this year hot and has a stellar junior season I'd take him mid/late 1st depending on what next years draft class looks like.

Haven't seen Tulane play at all this year, but Mike Schmitz just did a write-up on this guy, and you have to be intrigued:

Compares him to RHJ.
