- (red spot shadow) Paul George wit the greatest NFL screen tackle I've ever seen to release Russell Westbrook for the touchdown, I mean basket.
- (red arrows) Referees watching the play. Still get paid for this quality work.

Overhead view. Patriots have found a new safety for the Superbowl.

Here's my explanation of why it might not have been seen (at least by the guy you think blindly or willfully missed it). Bear in mind that I basically agree with Din's assessment of it being Westbrook, PG vs 'Who gives a f***' and that it probably would not have been called even if it was seen.

The trail official at the bottom of screen who has primary responsibility on this play has Spence and PG 'stacked up' behind Westbrook on the play at the point of contact. If you don't see how the contact occurs you can't make a determination on who's responsible. There are times when you can take a punt and have it still pass the eye test but this isn't one of them.
The center official opposite, however, has a great view of the play and is in great position to help. Initially I thought he takes his eye off it to follow the drive or that maybe PG would have been eclipsed by Din from the center officials view, but nah. Pretty sure he had it the whole way and sucked on the whistle.
This living legend is saddened by our loss.

an illegal football screen lol.
Jarrett Allen can't even lift his foot during a screen without being whistled for it, but I guess that's just how it goes.

Someone with skills needs to make a chart/graph of all of these terrible calls. I read on ND(Courtesy of A.S.):

The Nets played 10 (!) games in January that have been close enough for a Last Two Minutes Report from the NBA. I looked at all 10. In those 10 games, there were 17 calls (or no calls) that were marked in the L2M Report as Incorrect. Amazingly, FIVE of those incorrect calls were in the last game. (As I said in the game recap thread, it seems to have been very poorly officiated.) Here’s a breakdown of those 17 Incorrect calls:
12 Incorrect Calls against the Nets
5 Incorrect calls favoring the Nets
7 Incorrect Calls against Spencer Dinwiddie
2 Incorrect Calls favoring Dinwiddie
Here’s what I found for the full season to date:
21 games played by the Nets close enough for a L2M Report
4 of those games had no Incorrect calls (or no calls)
26 Incorrect calls against the Nets
14 Incorrect calls favoring the Nets
11 Incorrect calls against Spencer Dinwiddie
3 Incorrect calls favoring Dinwiddie

Yes. 26 of 40 blown calls this season were anti Net (65%) That's not some crazy number given the small sample size. What is crazy is the rate of blown calls. 17 in 20 minutes this month? That's a blown call every 71 seconds. If you extrapolate that over a 48 minute game, that would be 41 bad calls a game.

Not entirely blaming the refs for every L but NBA referees should not have this much of an influence in deciding close games IMO.
Time for VAR-type technology to be implemented because clearly NBA refs can't do a good enough job.

Gotta stop blaming the refs (although they do blatantly miss calls) and worry about what the team can control. Make the free throws, don't turn the ball over.
Admitting they messed up after the game doesn't mean duck squirt saying my bad doesn't change anything. If you're a fan at the game boo every call that doesn't go the Nets way.

I don't mind missed calls if it's something questionable in crunch time but this is like the 4th time where we get BLATANTLY fouled. Like we're not asking for ticky-tack stuff to be called. Carroll had no chance of putting a shot up.
What's funny is that Rondo fouled Carroll AND Crabbe at the same time on that play - refs missed them both. That's impressive on both ends.

Re: The NBA Referees and their lack of respect towards players of their choosing. Especially on our Nets.
I don't remember them being this bad last season. Vets at least got calls, Bogs, Brook, Booker and Lin. Not all the calls, but it wasn't so blatant as the no-calls this season. A lot of the refs are the same refs. This season, not even vets like DMC are getting obvious calls and that led to DMC having some crucial TOs in a few of the last games. Wasn't really his fall some of them. He was hacked.
