Pts, 3s and FTs. Only thing he is better than Simmons at.

Simmons has done it all year too...

Simmons is 2-0 against Mitchell as well. Mitchell was terrible head to head.

Mitchell has better vision for game.

I am not sure on what planet that is a true statement but it isn't this one.

it's only a matter of time before he starts shooting those in real games.

Spoiler:
Christ. Can you stop sucking Simmon's dick long enough to realize that what happens in practice is irrelevant?
Dwight Howard is a good free shooter in practice. Game time is a different story. Simmons will never be a good 3 point shooter. If he averages above 30% for his career, I'll be surprised. That being said, he is a great talent, and a worthy Rookie of the Year. He's going to be a hall of famer, but he will never be a good shooter.

Strike 3; edited it to make it smaller and a spoiler - are you kidding with that garbage?
-KT1214

As long as you understand that he hasn't even tried to take one legitimate attempt this year...

Then carry on.

That's actually kind of my point. He might do okay in practice, but he hasn't tried a real attempt in games, which makes me skeptical if he will ever be a decent 3pt shooter. That being said, if he does add a 35%+ 3 point shot on a decent volume, I'm not sure how you guard him.

12.5 points a game is pretty good for a rookie. Isn't that what Brogdon was averaging last season when he won rookie of the year? Anyway Tatum hasn't been shooting the 3 pointer at the same rate as he was before ever since he broke his finger in December.

Brogdon won nba rookie of the year essentially by default. The 2016 rookie class was super weak in terms of eligible players to select from. Embiid is was injured or else he would have won rookie of the year going away.

Brogdon, carter-Williams will
Likely go down as the worst rookie of the year winner in the past 20-30 years (off the top of my head). Maybe a couple other meh winners like mike Miller.

Not Mitchell’s best shooting night % wise but he is closing the Blazers out and just logged his 26th 20+ point game.

I thought he had a nice game considering he was forced to play PG and guard Dame.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Oh absolutely. But I always try to look for one thing I didn’t like to temper my rampant Jazz homerism. It helps me somewhat check it and be reasonable.

He was pretty bad in the first half, but our entire offense looked lost without Rubio.

Looking at his #s, it's hard to tell this was kind of a bad game for him.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

I was laughing so hard on that missed dunk by Cedi today just because I wanted him to jam that so badly and then he completely blew it. Kinda knew he was going to miss it, too, with how awkward his dribble was.

And Mitchell is a monster. 19 ppg on 55% TS is no joke. I didn't realize he was scoring that efficiently.

A lot of good and bad from Donovan tonight. It's a good game of his to watch to get an idea of where his game is. He's is very talented, but also has a ton of room for improvement.

The Jazz hammered the Blazers in Portland minus one their starting PG and having just traded one of their key offensive players, and it was Mitchell who put them away in the second half. The shooting stats are not really that relevant in the grand scheme of things.

Just an observation, Simmons sat the whole of the 4th Qtr in easy reach of a triple double , Mitchell comes back into the game with a 25 pt lead and scores a further 10 pts !!
Don’t think Brown is doing Simmons Roty chances any favours !!!!

I don't think you actually watched the jazz/blazers game, as Portland made a run at Utah late.

Also, Mitchell's last 40 point game, he was taken out with 7 minutes left in the game. Could have possibly gone for 50 or more, as he was scoring on every possession. It goes both ways.

For me it will at least partly come down to how much Utah and the Sixers prosper over the whole regular season.

Advantage Mitchell at the moment, Utah are looking like the best team in the NBA on recent form.

This isn’t an attack on Mitchell, it’s a dig at Brown !!!
