Dunn shouldn't determine which player you draft. We don't even know if Dunn is a starting caliber PG on a good team yet – he certainly shouldn't be the player you build around and who dictates your draft choices.

He’s playing really well now for the Bulls and looks like their point guard for the future. Technically you could replace him with Dunn, but I would think Dunn is good enough that they could look for a different position. And honestly I don’t see Doncic getting to them unless they jump in draft pick. If New Orleans misses the playoffs the Bulls have possibly two lottery picks, which gives them better chances to win the lottery. I still think the whole reason they’re tanking is for Michael Porter Jr. They love their hometown heroes.

last night he had 16 points 10 rebounds 3 assists 5 steals. crazy stat line.

He’s also one of my favorites. I’m just super afraid the wrong team is going to draft him. Fast-pace teams aren’t going to fit with him and most of the league is fast-pace nowadays. But those teams are going to be enticed by him because of his defense and his ability to get into the passing lane because that’s what fast pace teams like to do.

i think he can fit into fast pace because dude is always looking to push the ball in the fast break. that's one of his favorite things to do.

He can push the ball, but he’s not quick enough to play that type of game in the NBA.

Yeah, Brown's pretty slow. Still an intriguing prospect though.

Mykhailiuk of Kansas is the only one I can think of.

Thoughts on Gary Clark? Already love Evans, don't usually buy into multiple players from the same school, but like the way the get after it.

Was really impressed when I saw him play Duke. If the three point shooting is for real, he should move up to mid first-lottery. If he were a freshman (he has the same birthday as Michael Porter Jr.) people would be debating him vs. Sexton.

My friend, CCJ - who posts here occasionally - predicted Paul Millsap would be the first Paul Millsap, and he says there's some Paul Millsap in Gary Clark. He actually compared him more to Chuck Hayes. Clark even kinda looks like Millsap. And apparently Clark has some of the best defensive stats in the entire country - not just offensive. One red flag - he's already 23. But he was good as a freshman - so it's not like he came out of nowhere. I think he's got a solid NBA future - especially with him starting to show that he's got some range on his shot.

Daniel Gafford reminds me too much of Deyonta Davis. I still think Davis has upside, but so far he hasn’t been great. Davis was a mobile Big who everyone said would be able to guard inside-out and had great block instincts. He was also athletic with little offensive game and was about the same size. He reminds me more of Davis than he does Capela. I just think you’re getting a big project with him that might not work out.

It’s ridiculous if Trey Young isn’t a top 5 pick. That should not be allowed.

What do you think the main reason Davis dropped so far in the draft? I didn't see him not being a top 20 guy, so that shocked me at the time, and honestly, given he was raw (didn't produce heaps on college), I think he's playing pretty well in his sophomore season. (In 500 mins he's averaging 14/10 per 36 with 2 blocks on 64% FG).

I do see a lot of similarities, but if there's one difference, I would say it's that Gafford seems to have a way more aggressive/assertive mindset.

He was just so raw (same with Gafford). Davis has actually started to play well when he gets minutes. He actually looks a lot more fluid than he did in college. He’s hitting threes now and his offensive game is developing. I still don’t think we’ve seen what he’ll become yet and I think when the Grizzlies commit to him more than the older guys he can show what he has.

Part of the reason he fell so much is because he was underdeveloped physically and he had no offensive game. I’m sure there are other issues.

Gafford has a lot to learn as well... but the more I think about it, the more I think I’m underrating Gafford. He finishes so well and might be able to do that without much skill. He’s also a better defender than Davis. And he has a better feel for the game.

It came out in the pre-draft process that Davis had plantar fasciitis. Not positive it was specifically that but some teams had red flagged him based on his physical and he then missed time in the summer league due to it.
