Character important
Some have abused women. Some are very arrogant. Some are dirty. Some have been accused of doing horrible things. This includes many stars and superstars. Why should any good society admire football players?

Good question. But, there are dirtbags in every sport. The NBA has also had it's fair share of criminals.

Re: Character important
I guess one should look beyond the dirt bags. Because if you do, there is tremendous character to be found. On the Cowboys alone, I can rattle of guys like Jason Witten, Tyron Smith, Dak Prescott and Sean Lee as men who contribute daily to their communities and aren't caught up in any of the crap you hear from the Reuben Fosters of the world.
Can't throw all football players under the same dirty blanket anymore than you can NBA players (like Dirk) or hockey players (can't list all the things Tyler Seguin does around here). Pretty damned unfair if you do.

Exactly, there’s a lot of great Athletes that does wonders for the community that doesn’t get much notice or any at all. The media now really sucks, they will run a story if it creates attention and they love the negative stuff. The world now is really **** up.
Just like how they keep bringing the old **** back in the days here in Philly. Every fan base has their idiots and that doesn’t make everyone the same and shouldn’t be put in the same boat. Eagles won the SB and there was more arrest and stupid stuff happening in NE but they didn’t report it.

Guys like Cliff Avril, who builds houses down in Haiti every offseason & Russell Wilson who visits Seattle's Children's Hospital every damn Tuesday during the season, don't get enough credit.

Because not all football players are like that?
Arrogance and dirty play doesnt make anyone a bad person though. But IDC if Khalil Mack averages 1 sack per play next year, if he hits his GF/wife, I throw away his jersey and tell my kids exactly why he's a scumbag, no matter if people cheer for him or not

Porn stars are generally ignored by the media. Pro wrestlers are generally ignored by the media. Out of respect for those who don't like football(the large majority) they could always ignore football players too. In basically every form of media sports get more attention than they deserve. I enjoy football, but the media goes overboard.

It sounds like you actually don't enjoy it all that much!

Football is my favorite sport by far! So I'm biased. But, I don't have an issue with it. Pro Wrestlers are generally ignored by the media because the sport itself is a clown show. It's Fake. Porn is also pretty taboo.
Is talking (Media) about Lebron 24/7 any different? Especially during the playoffs/Finals every year.

Porn stars, yes, but that's entirely different, their whole industry is still taboo.
Pro wrestlers are not ignored by the media. Guys like John Cena and Seth Rollins are all over the media, and when wrestlers mess up huge, they are definitely not ignored.
The media, for the most part, is the reflection of the will of the people. If it didnt generate ratings, they wouldnt do it anymore. This is why the 2 slanted sides of the media over-characterize the other side.. not because its ethical (

Is being a porn star wrong btw? Serious question...they make money doing something that clearly has a large demographic. They essentially provide a service that people are willing to pay for. No different than anyone else. They're just doing it in a way that's been considered taboo in society for years, but maybe the problem is the conservatism and not the porn. Ditto with prostitution...there's more evidence that it would be safer and probably generate more revenue for the government if it was legalized, and at the end of the day, if two consenting adults come to an agreement over a service that's provided, why should anyone have a problem with it?

Amen.
And re: prostitution..
It's an industry where a professional charges by the hour to give the recipient a release of the stress of their lives, although I guess it should come from their partner.
No wait, that's psychology.
