I hate how he's so contradicting. If the Warriors/Celtics go on a cold stretch and someone makes a reasonable excuse for them, Nick Wright will be like, "You're schedule to play 82 games a season, there's no reason for them to go on such a losing streak." But when the Cavs (prior to the trading deadline) went cold..."LeBron didn't wake up on the right side of the bed, I checked this morning when I woke up."

I'm guessing the OP would have gone with Nick Old in that scenario.

And you had the nerve to tell me I couldn't call Haywood Haywood?

Mr. Right is spot on about LeBron and the cavs. Some people never learn. LeBron will be in the finals again this year, the only question is whether or not he'll put up a better fight against dubs.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

I mean, he is a cringe-worthy Bronsexual, but there's nothing wrong with those tweets as much as you might hate the fact.

Yeah except for he disappears if the Cavs don't play well... He said Cavs in 5 and then pretended all off season he never said that. He doesn't realize people can change their opinions of teams... The cavs are now the favorites after the moves they made - I don't think many had them making the Finals with the old roster.

That's fair since you're a Cavs fan. I guess I wouldn't have much problem if all he did was defend my team and best player lol.

I guess but he doesn't seem overly negative like a Skip Bayless type. And like I said Cris is usually spot on and reveals things about himself and his playing career (eg drug use).

Yet the guy I find most enjoyable doesn’t always have a strong opinion, Dan Patrick.

Because he actually knows how to be entertaining.

dan patrick show is the most bearable to listen to. His guys get real good bookings on his show and they get good tidbits from them too.

This is easily the cutest meme that's been running for a while. I'm not necessarily a fan of Nick Wright, but the only thing I see with him is that that he likes Lebron (to a fault) and MAYBE dislikes Tom Brady to a fault, but apart from that? As someone said, he's articulate, filled in for Colin Cowherd a lot on his radio show (Colin Cowherd's the guy I'm a fan of if anything), and I think has done well, and earned his way to a talk show.

Also as a Pats fan I'll say this, after that Brady vs MJ topic where supposedly some folks like anywhere from 3 QBs before Brady cause "rings don't count" and "they coulda won more with Belicheck than he did", I'm not really keen that someone on this board will claim that anyone else dislikes Tom Brady just for "ratings". Nope, you can miss me with that "just for TV" bull 1000 outta 1000. That's your damn meme in a nutshell; board guy (not you but in general) dislikes Player A says it cause he believes it, but if someone on TV says it, oh well that's for ratings. Even on the Eagles, I Don't know if he picked them over the Patriots, but a lotta people didn't like the Eagles' chances after Wentz with down; not an unreasonable take to me. And Cam Newton? Considering his flaws, I think it's generous Nick Wright has 5 QBs over him myself, but again not the end of the world.

He's a moron. This guy once said that Lebron making 7 finals in a row was the greatest accomplishment any NBA player has ever had. Even if we ignore the fact that it was in a time where the East was as terrible as its been, the idea that the greatest accomplishment is making it to the very end but ultimately losing most of the time is incredibly ridiculous and clearly a sign of homerism.

He's in love with stats and ignores the fact that alot of stats has to do with players dominating the ball and/or going for stats, maybe even to the detriment of a team, which clearly Lebron does to some degree (he's a Westbrook fan as well for much of the same reason). Thats basically his entire argument for Lebron being over Jordan and he boils down the other side's argument of Jordan being better then Lebron to just being about "6 rings". Yes, he's an idiot.

Nick Wrong represents everything that is wrong with sports media, especially within the NBA. Either their craft is dead or they're doing it wrong because they spending 99% of their time talking about a losing team + GS Warriors. There is a huge market out there, reach them for God sakes, Nick Wrong is a clone of all that we can see in every friggen network and channel. I only got into the NBA 4 years ago but I'm in deep. I always played ball with my brother but he made me fall in love with the league. But every outlet is disgustingly bad. Every show just puts on a hot girl, a random fella, and a bunch of retired players who dont give a damn what they are talking about. The only retired player who has given me any insight was Chris Bosh, I would love to hear more from him. Is there any place where I can get real talk about the 28 other teams in the league ? Because this is a bad joke. And I love Charles Barkley but his show is included, all style zero substance like SAS and all the other ****.
