I don't know if anyone has been paying any attention to Brooklyn, but their rookie Center is balling right now.

Jarrett Allen was linked to us through the draft process a few times and seems more of a pure Center. He's avg 16 ppg and 8 rpg over his last 5 games.
And 13 ppg and 7 rpg over his last 10 games.

Bulls just beat the Wolves in a thriller on ESPN. Zach LaVine with 35, Jimmy Butler with 38 in a revenge game for both.

It's two fold for us. Bulls move to 3 games ahead of us in the standings for ping pong balls, and the Wolves lose to improve the pick they're giving us.

Never doubt Lebron when it comes to the east. They just annihilated the Celtics on Pierce's big night and I love everything about it.

Never too late to post ...

ETA: And furthermore, wasn't that a cute little run the Seeees had this season. For a minute, they thought they were a contendah. It was just one game but they look like they've been bypassed not only by CLE but by TOR as well. Dan E. will always point to their bright future when folks criticize him for refusing to use any of their assets for the now. Next thing you know it'll be 8 years down the road and he's still touting that next 1st rounder ... they coulda traded to get help ... but didn't.

This is the kind of guy I think the Hawks need on their roster.

Frustrating thought:

He realistically could be.

Jazz traded #24 and Trey Lyles for the right to jump up to #13 and select Mitchell.

We, legitimately, should have been able to match that haul.

NOTE: Lyles was selected in that 2015 draft...the same one we traded out of for "2 years of THJ".

Would Kelly Oubre and #19 this year have been enough to grab Donovan?

Would Bobby Portis and #19?

Hell, would Taurean and #19? Would that be worth it?

Kings beat the Mavs in a basement brawl last night. The bottom 6 in the standings are closer together than I've ever seen before. Makes losing even more imperative.

Teams like the Mavs have no shame whatsoever...ur telling me you can’t win with Dirk, Barnes, Wesley Matthews, JJ Barea and rookie of the year candidate Dennis Smith jr.????

They should not have the same record as us. The nba needs to monitor tanking for teams with this many veterans ...it just isn’t right.

The thing is, unlike the Mavs, Kings, Suns. Magic - the Hawks actually play defense. Bud calls so many timeouts for missed assignments on defense. That sadly is why we may not get the number one pick. :(

Rick Carlisle is a great coach..the reason he isn’t calling timeouts is because Cuban told him to tank. It’s just frustrating as hell for a team like that with relatively no major injuries having the same record as us.

I think it’s all a bs scam anyway...watch Brooklyn win the first pick and have it convey to the Cavs...smh..the accounting firm of Ernesto and Young are full of caca...it’s rigged.

Yes, they've still got Dirk, but have you seeeen Dirk this season? painful to watch at times. Plus he was never a great defender.
Barnes is very Mavin-esque to me. Matthews is a shell plus a rookie point guard. The rest of the roster, meh. Starting a Kebler elf at Center?

 Keebler elf ...That’s true it is hard to watch Dirk play...even a few years ago he was lumbering up and down the court...

I don’t agree with Harrison Barnes. People keep comparing him to Marvin but I’d rather have Barnes at any point in his career over Marvin. Barnes and Dennis Smith jr. alone should be getting more wins than us.

I guess it's more in his demeaner than their games - I don't see the killer instinct in Barnes, just contentment.
