Then that number decreases even more I believe. Wiggins is making 25,250,000 a year after signing his max extension.

I think KP's extension would start at 25% of the cap (about $27mil) or his cap hold would be about $17.1mil

I used the number Wiggins will get in year one but that number goes up as the cap does.

These other contracts are the problem.

Need to tell KP that extension comes during his RFA period.
That extra 9mil in cap space is big

I hate to be that guy but it probably depends on whether it looks like we could make a playoff push.

^Lol, I'd wager against it as well. You never know what kind of nonsense trades the franchise will pull though.

Join the club. WTF was that little Jarrett Jack cameo in the 4th? I was in the crowd losing it with my little bro at this clown attempting to coach a basketball game :nonono:

And how about the "slight change to the starting lineup" ... Lance Thomas? Are you kidding me? To guard Ben Simmons? Ok, maybe if we were in the playoffs against the Sixers. How about giving Frank that challenge?

There's no reason for KP to sit out the whole year next year. That's not how ACL's work. He needs to get back to trusting his knee. Getting more "rest" won't heal him any better in this case.

How you saying everyone and there is people who have been defending Frank all season, and still support him.

The first like 5 pages of this PG thread is nothing but Frank Sucks, he's awful, wasted pick, etc etc.

Obviously I don't literally mean everyone, but the majority seems to have given up.

You actually might be right. Extra time off surely didn't work out the guy in your avi too much.

True, it is minor compared with everything else. We can probably move Lee, but its still not a ton of space so def agree there. The ThJ signing was just not smart.

At this point 2019 may not be the best idea. We won’t be a good team next year so chances are slim we will get any stars, Noah’s still on the books, KP will just be working his way back. I would look more towards 2020 when Noah comes off. Just work on building up our young talent base.

Its just tough to get top free agents when your bad or when you already have a few bad contracts on the books.

This board hasn't been great at judging talent. I've watched 75% of this board fall in love with the likes of Landry Fields, Channing Frye, Frank Williams and Jerian Grant. Many killed Porzingis early on as well. Gotta give Ntilikina a couple years. He's 19.

Yep. I had hopes they’d be smart so we could strike in 2019, but I highly doubt that happens now.

Just play the damn kids, load up on assets, churn through other team’s picks / GL guys / Undrafted guys to see if you can find a keeper, collect your lottery picks and pray we knock them out the park.

We both know almost none of that will happen :nonono:

I personally never liked any of them. I also never killed Porzingis. I wanted Mitchell and Smith jr. I'm also not anti Frank I'm just not sure why he NEEDS to be the point guard of the future. He can just be a role player and that'd be fine.
