Yeah, Bosh definitely had more refined post skills at the same age, but JJJ has about 20 pounds on college Bosh already, and Jackson's rim protection and defensive instincts are clearly better, as well. But aside from those things, they're very similar. Both left handed PF/Cs with measurements of 6'11 height, 7'4 wingspan, and 9'1 standing reach. They're both able to cover a lot of ground defensively making them great for guarding the PnR. They're excellent shooters, they're similarly athletic in that they're not crazy explosive but they fully utilize their length (Bosh was probably little bit more of a leaper though), and they're generally just very active. I like JJJ's upside as a ball handler and driver more than Bosh's.
I love JJJ because I think he has a crazy high ceiling (Bosh level scoring ability, DPOY level impact) and yet he also has a really high floor, as well. I can't see any way he busts. His defensive instincts, length, and mobility should make him a pretty good defender almost from day one assuming he gets over the foul trouble hump, and offensively he's at the very least passable as a floor spacer, a threat in the pick 'n pop, and a lob finisher. Plus he has decent vision (2.4 assists per 40), and I think it's a bad sign for basketball IQ when you have a big who constantly puts up 0s in the assists category.
