Why are magic fans so bitter? Payton didn't ask for a trade.

Magic fans are so **** bitter, ahaha. Imagine this but it happening while he was on our team. It doesn't matter if he got a triple double or not or played good defense most of the game, they'll criticize him on something.

People are stubborn once they dig their heels in on something. He was to blame in their opinion and they are going to stick to it as long as they can. I'm glad so far PHX fans are recognising all the good stuff he brings and not focusing on the not as good things. This is how he can play when you give him trust and responsibility. He must be loving getting all these minutes. Last season he had to try and get his triple doubles in 3 quarters because Vogel would have him collecting dust on the bench

Let me fix that. Not flaming the players, but kinda telling it how it is, no sugar coating it. "you just can't do that" type of responses. I like that.

Or making a note "you just cant give it to len there" Lol. Great stuff.

EJ is trying to teach Len to keep the ball high FOR YEARS.

I have no idea who our 2nd best player will be on opening night 2019:

Warren, Jackson, Payton, Bender, Chriss, 2018 Pick, Trade, FA?

Jackson. I think one day he will be better than Booker.

Really impressed with Elfrid again. I LOVE his game so far with us.

Booker played a good game knowing that he is not completely healthy. He is gonna be a monster after the All Star, I can see it.

Ingles has Warren's number. Seriously, he bothers TJ on both sides of the court like no one in the league. He is a tough matchup, he has been playing outstanding basketball this last month.

Amazing game from Josh, his touch tonight was gold.

Len with a solid game. We needed him with Chadler out because Gobert/Favors is too much for Bender at this point of his career.

Daniels, Ulis and Chriss did not help too much coming from the bench...with a better game from them we probably win this one.

Alex Len is hot garbage. Not going to miss him next season. Also, i been saying this for awhile but I think Suns should look to have TJ Warren off the bench and start Jackson.

This is the kind of play I've wanted at the point. Eric wouldn't or couldnt do it.

....and who would have thought we could get that for the low low price of a 2nd rounder.

Sorry...snarkiness, coming back up...

"No, no, we NEED that 2nd, it's critical to our strategy going forward. We never should have made that trade. Horrible! #staythecourse!"

And here we are, 3 losses later, and Payton is slashing 20/9/8 with a 57% FG%, and 50% 3PT% on 2 APG.

Anyone who doesn't think that type of impact won't improve the development of our youngsters over the next 23 games is being dishonest. I'll happily part with that 2nd for 26 games with EP, if that's all we get. Problem is, he keeps slashing those numbers for the rest of the year, he might 'out-price' himself for us to keep. Depends though, how much McD's comments about being upset about missing out on Payton in the Draft is just platitudes, or how much that is truth; if it's truth, McD may match a pretty hefty RFA contract from another team, then this board will explode with how we wasted money on a non-All-Star talent.

And on Len? Yeah, he's got stone hands, and is an anchor on the offense end, but anyone notice how the great Gobert had goose-eggs in the Blks/Stls department, whereas, as has been pointed out, Len went 4 and 3 in those stats...against Gobert??

I'm not saying that means anything, like, at all...I just found that kind of funny, is all.

Biyombo type.

Exactly.

In one of my other 'novellas' I talked about how I was disappointed we didn't work out a deal for Biyombo as well when we got Payton. Something like Chandler + 2nd (or even MIL 1st, I would've been okay w/)...or...BK + MIL 1st would've given ORL a Combo Guard as a back-up plan in case they didn't get who they wanted in the Lottery this year. They save a couple of Million over the next 3 years, get a 1st Rd pick, and some 'insurance'.

We get, a defensive minded Center who is young and can start until our Shiny New Center we draft gets his legs under him, or if he gets injured, ever. To me, that would've made sense.

Why would we want to be the team that pays Bismack Biyombo 17 million dollars for the next 2 years so he can average 6/6 and a block off the bench? What a terrible contract for a mediocre player, it’s amazing to me that he even got that deal.

I was joking responding to that Magic fan about Biyombo lol. I noticed he named former and current Magic centers so I figured I’d mention Biyombo as well

I said it earlier as well.. Jackson has looked more capable than a rookie Booker. But Booker was 18 as a rookie.

Jackson has the higher ceiling because of his athleticism... Dude is fast and explosive... As athletic as any star swingman in the league

I see the athleticism as a bonus. What impresses me so, so much is how natural the game comes to him. It's so effortless, unforced. Booker looks like he's working hard for his buckets, Jackson just flows. He's really worked on his early mistakes too. So much improvement already. Slowed the game down, no complaining, staring down refs. Just staying focused and moving on.

I agree with most of that, but Booker's a top flight shooter. N in a league where you're not allowed to defend, that means more than just about any attribute. Just look at Curry. I'd still give Booker the nod.

I've noticed he's even out rebounding the PFs a couple of times he sneaked in and got the rebound before Chriss or Bender thought about jumping.

He's so quick and twitchy

Thats why I strongly believe Jackson is perfect next to Booker. One thrives on soft touch and outside shooting.. The other in explosiveness and sheer speed.

Payton looks good next to both.

Now just need a shot blocking athletic big... JJJ or Ayton

It's definitely a good pairing if Jackson can continue to progress. He'd really need to become something special to be better in this league than Dbook. Shooting just has so much damn value these days.
