Brings up an interesting point. How is plumlee gonna get minutes? Jokic, millsap & lyles are all better by a wide margin, and chandler at the 4 has been a major part of this offensive explosion. I think the best possible incarnation of this team has plumlee with the DNP-CD
I disagree that Lyles is better than Plumlee, especially at Center. I do think once Milsap returns we should see zero minutes of Plumlee and Jokic on the floor together. Plumlee and Lyles should both get 15-20 per game off the bench at the 5 and 4 respectively. Splitting the minutes between Barton and Chandler will be tricky. Who starts and who becomes the 6th man? Our second unit could really use Barton's scoring punch off the bench and he's done well in that role before. If the second unit can continue to run up the score, there may even be some minutes for Juancho & Beasley.
Jokic (33) - Plumlee (15)
Milsap (28) - Lyles (20)
Chandler (28) - Barton (20)
G Harris (34) - Barton (14)
Murray (32) - D Harris (16)
It seems as though Chandler is playing better since he was moved to PF. When Millsap comes back, he won't be happy as a backup. If Malone isn't going to play Faried, who always gives a good effort, why not give Chandler some DNP-CDs?
Jokic - Plumlee
Millsap - Faried - Hernangomez
Lyles - Craig - Jefferson
G.Harris - Murray - Beasley
Murray - D. Harris
No doubt Hernangomez & Beasley won't get much time and I'd like to see them play, but I'm trying to be realistic.
Can Lyles play SF? Think about K.Leonard, K.Durrant, L.James and there are some big SFs in this league. It might work.
