SAME! He’s another Marvin..he looks the part. I don’t know about his numbers but watching him climb up the draft board scares me..

I thinks he’s the only one for me...and

Sexton...I think we disagree here. I don’t want my point guard to have an nfl body..yes I know Lebron and Bledsoe and a few others do, but something scares me off with this guy.

Do not draft for me:

JJJ
Sexton

Sex(y)ton is Harden 2.0 to me so I'm more concerned about his game than his bod.

I'm also totally off the bandwagon for MichSt players for some reason. Do they ever have success in the league? Name 2 that have lately.

Shawn Respert was supposed to be the pre Mo Pete...and then there’s...Mo Pete...and Mateen Cleaves..the next Isiah in the eyes of Magic...

Oh God Calgon take me awayyyyy...(80’s bit and still relatable today..)

Shawn Respert? Dude's been a coach for like 10 years already. That's not relatable. Neither are Peterson nor Cleaves and his sex assaulting self (allegedly).

Fact that y'all keep citing all these middling geriatrics kinda makes my point.

MichSt's supplanted Duke as the 'meh' draft pick capital. The scary thing is AZ is hot on their heels. Hope Ayton can get out 'fore the stank sets in.

No, K still worse. Izzo and Pitino (God rest his soul) are/were still on their "I need my type of players" recruitment train so the fact you don't see much of anything come out of those programs isn't really a shock.

K, OTOH, decided awhiles backs that "hey, look at me! I'm cool! I'm hip! I know what the kids are into, bring on the top recruits!.... as long as they aren't from single parent households and/or public school..." So it's a bigger indictment of Duke than it is MSU.

I just looked it up. Izzo has had only 15 McDonald's All Americans his entire tenure, K has had over 70.

Warning:

In the next 4-6 weeks we are going to have draft experts on this site..(due to watching March madness..every year it happens..) I think there will be people that REmake up their minds between now and then and then the draft workouts.

Does a huge tournament performance boost an unworthy prospect to the top?

At the same time, does the opposite seem fair?

How much do YOU put stock in March madness vs what somebody has done all year..or more if they aren’t freshman.

 I see what you did there..Mace knows I hate the scrubs so he throws one in like Jrich..

To be fair though I have liked a few warriors over the years...Mitch Richmond is probably my fav Warrior of all time..JRich wasn’t too annoying either except I didn’t want him to break any of Nique’s dunk records.

If Bamba has a high potential on offense, Bud could turn him into the next “Robincun”...Dude is a freak like Giannis and the unicorn...I wouldn’t be mad.

I just watched the Doncic highlight vs Barcelona. He’s so slow and not able to blow by anyone. How’s he supposed to put that passing and vision into work?

I've been asking that same question. I've watched him dribble between his legs for ~10 seconds trying to "shake" a defender that seemed to be moving as slow as he was. I think he's highly skilled, but without even average NBA athleticism, I don't see him being as effective in the NBA. He's still going to be a good addition to whatever team he goes to, but I don't think he will be a franchise cornerstone. He would've been perfect for '14-'15 Hawks, but that ship has sailed.

I've had the same concerns and internal debate.

One thing I will say, he'd struggle in an isolation heavy offense because of the lack of athleticism. But in a system where he can move freely without the ball (like ours) and has another more active wing-scorer playing beside him -- I do think he can garner 5-7 assists per game in the half court pretty easily.

He can't be a lead scorer on a great team. He'll need a dude who can get buckets playing next to him. But if Doncic is your 2nd best player, you'll have a pretty solid tandem.

NOTE: If a team embraces his size and plays him at Forward, that could mitigate a lack of top end speed. Particularly against PFs.

Add'l Note: I'd love to add a guy like Miles Bridges next to Doncic. An athletic freak who can guard 3 positions, has a steady 3-pt shot and would thrive being fed easy buckets by Luka.

So, if we take him, we'll have to acquire 'that dude' to play next to him so he'll be successful? .... I know you've been waiting for it ... EZPass Lane ...

Not really but I feel like poking the bear. I'm lowering Doncic on my list though.

I'm pretty sure that's true for any single talent we acquire this summer, though.

Even Ayton will need an elite wing creator to accentuate his inside scoring abilities.
