Gun safety classes should be something both sides agree on. That's supposedly one of the purposes of the NRA - to promote gun safety. And they could be involved in making and providing the tests and classes.
The guns per capita statistics suggest that there's more guns than citizens in this country, I just don't see how anything but an outright repeal of the 2nd amendment is going to make a difference here.
I’m A second amendment hawk. In fact, I’m in entire bill of rights hawk.
So let’s negotiate And here’s what I’ll concede:
I’ll concede full mental health background checks for any and all guns including renewal licenses annually. but in doing that the civil libertarians must concede any Hippa violations that might occur.
And most importantly I will consider a full ban automatic weapons and bump stocks including search and seizure of those weapons while tracing all past sales.
And in conceding these two things above I request a full and detailed collection of data where we begin profiling children around third or fourth grade for mental health issues or violence. I will not concede those two items about with this very important item included in the legislation because I believe bad people pull triggers. guns don’t kill, people pull the triggers.
And finally I request that armed retired military are hired as security guards at schools. And schools are design better predators out with fencing, walls, and single points of entry.
I think this is a great start. Who’s with me?
