FWIW I work for a stone company in PHX and my delivery driver just made a delivery to Scottsdale/PV area. The contractor on site told him it was Jason Kidd’s new house. Not sure what to make of it or if it’s even true. Thought it was worth mentioning.

Suns need to start signing veteran role players. These players will not only accept mid level to low level type contracts but they play hard and know their role.

Suns hopefully get a top 2 pick in 2018 and get their next corner stone to fit next Booker, Jackson, Warren etc. The other picks should be used to either stash talent overseas or for role players who will help the team compete next season.
You cannot keep fielding young players and get blown out by 30... Booker came demand a trade if he doesn't see progress.


Its time to cash in the picks and assets and have a core to develop and contend for playoffs in 2019

Aaron Gordon isn't the solution. And if he is indeed that good... Magic won't let him go.. Its simple. That rumor is old and its not really telling...



Suns need a big man because Len is gone and Chandler is old.
So they may go for Capela but hopefully not... Max money for him is not smart.

He is a 18ppg 8rpg 0.7bpg player.... Not the stuff that will help Suns need of a rim protector and rebounder.... He's a big SF...

Durant and Draymond at least are excellent defenders inside the paint.

Like Dudley and Chandler? I'm not totally opposed to bringing in a vet role player or two but you really need to be careful not to tie up too much money on role players. Teams get themselves in trouble with this all the time. Now signing some min type salary vets. That can be a good idea.

Dudley just got fat when he realised the team is developing young players.

AG is the type of player you sign and you are really excited at first then immediately regret spending all that money on a mid level player and now you are in Cap hell for 5 years until he comes off the books or looking to buy him out in year 4. He is a good player but limited not great at anything you dont pay those guys 14 million or more a year without putting your franchise in a horrible position. I.E. see Brandon Knight... Or Eric Bledsoe. Good players but not exceptional at any one thing and not worth the money...

Cool I think we're pretty much on the same page. I have no problem grabbing a guy entering his prime. No more of these **** early retirement present contracts.

I'm probably a little extra cautious when it comes to this since the Bucks are my other team and they find themselves in trouble with too many mid sized contracts for guys like Telly, Delly, Snelly. After a while they add up and really limit what you can do to get better.

If you want a vet pf, you are going to have to go the trade route. There is not really one in free agency. You are going to have to overpay for Aaron Gordon or Julius Randle. That is about it in free agency. The only other option is Favors.

If you want a vet pf, you are going to have to go the trade route. There is not really one in free agency. You are going to have to overpay for Aaron Gordon or Julius Randle. That is about it in free agency. The only other option is Favors.

Or Parker. Or we keep developing the ones we just drafted less than two years ago and also see what happens in the draft. None of these guys you have to overpay now were lighting the league on fire 1 1/2 years in the league either. While Gordon and Randle have grown and become aggressive, Bender has more innate skills, and the ones valued on teams that win...3 pt shooting and the ability to block shots. He is also an aware defender with length. Now of course his body is still filling out given his length and his level of intensity/aggression is coming along slowly partially probably due to age and transition to league, but he's made big time progress this year.

I think it comes down to where you see Bender going forward. Is he a 4 or a 5? I like him at the 5. Big bruising centers are becoming extinct and won't have the ability to bully him in time as he continues to add weight. He can take advantage of small ball lineups as we've seen already. That said, drafting Ayton forces him to the 4, which isn't necessarily a problem.

I can get behind adding Gordon or Randle if we draft Doncic or Young. There is still room there for PT, but I am against trading valuable assets and paying market value. If it's just because we have so many picks, I'd rather consolidate them to move up in the draft or in a trade for a legit star. I'd almost rather dump all of the extra picks (both Miami, Mil, even a future one of ours protected for top 3) to get back in at 7 for the leftover big who falls.

Those players are not signing with the Suns.

Rather someone else than pay 20 million a year for a PF who's not an all star not providing what the Suns need.

Either way of he's good then Magic match him so it's a redundant and illogical plan.

As I said in my post As well... Sign 1 year contracts to key role players than sign someone long term albatross contracts.

I like Favors.

My assumption is he will not really be in demand and looking to start fresh on a new team and a new role. Of course could see Jazz resigning him too but Suns can use him as center over Len.

I'm assuming a 3 year 27 million dollar contract or maybe 1 years at 10 million.
