Something funny I've noticed.

Post#1 » by basketballwacko2 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 1:17 am

You guys might want to check this out. During games I've been going to the opponents board and reading their game thread for the Pacers games against their team. It's funny as hell to hear these guys tripping about how good Victor is and "When did he get to be so dang good."

This takes me back to June 30th 2017 on the night of the Great PG trade, people said the Pacers screwed the pooch, gave him a way, could have gotten so much more from Boston, Denver, Clev, ect. I was pissed because of the way the team had been played by PG, but I was happy with Victor and Domas, I wished we'd gotten a #1 pick too but OKC had none to give. But I'm much more happy now seeing Vic and Domas develop and the team exceed my expectations.

Props to KP for getting DC, Bojan, Cojo for nothing and props to those guys for giving it all they have. And big props to Lance for being Lance!!

Amen!

I didn't know much about Domas, but was excited as heck they got Oladipo. Always loved the way he plays.
You are also right about KP deserving praise for getting the other guys as well.

the answer to when he got this good is last summer. his off-season routine was amazing. some credit goes to Westbrook for showing him the goal.

Check out this Hawks fan from their game thread tonight.

I've been beating the Oladipo drum ever since a rumor surfaced a couple years ago that the Hawks were discussing trading Jeff Teague for him. I wish we had traded Millsap for him on draft night when they traded Dipo and that pick which became Sabonis for Ibaka (the Magic coveted Millsap). Dude has always had the tools to be a major success in the league.

Yeah if the Hawks had traded Milsap and Horford rather than them leaving as UFA's ATL would be a different team.

Had a really good feeling about Domas. I knew he would at least be a productive bench player, just didn't think he would instantly help us this much, and to think he's only 21...SMH...

Dipo on the other hand, well, what can I say that you haven't already seen?

So happy/excited about this team's future, and I'd do that trade again all day, all night (betcha OKC wouldn't though, lol)
