Embiid sure likes to cast a wide net. That's good, I just hope it doesn't dilute his pitch.

Hope everyone doesnt think he's joking around. Have you seen that clip when Biid was talking with Horford? Horford was not sure if Biid's joking or if he's serious.

Horford has that "stop talking to me" body language.

This.

It’s amazing/sad this fairly uninteresting conversation has been plastered all over social media the last few days. Next we’ll all be treated to some cameras overhearing Embiid tell Simmons that he likes chicken nuggets more than chicken tenders

People are going to look back on Embiid's career and be like "how the heck did this guy only average 11 PPG in college?"

His development on the offensive side of the ball is nothing less than historic. He could average 18 PPG on nothing but midrange jumpers if he wanted to.

He never scored 20 points or more in a single college game, so coming in after two years of injuries and averaging 20PPG in restricted minutes sure is amazing.

Yes, Embiid from the time he stepped onto the court at Kansas has been on a meteoric rise. He didn't even start for Kansas until mid December 2013. And if you go back to the espn nba draft rankings, he was no where on the radar for nba draft at the begging of the season and within one month (by January 2014) he was on top of the NBA draft rankings big board. Embiid just is a natural at learning basketball. He was improving each week.

He only averaged 11 points in college mainly because he started out slow and than got hurt end of the season. Other than that, people saw the offensive skills he was displaying especially after that Iowa State January 2014 game. Likely his most dominant game as a college freshman.

I still don't care much for him shooting 3 pointers. I think he's just bored and shoots just to shoot. But he is just deadly faceup, pump fake, pump fake, (than has option to dribble/shoot from 10-15 feet range). Just simply pick your poison as a defender.

11PPG in college, underrated at ESPN draft rankings, never scored 20 points or more in a single college game. Sam Hinkie is a crazy but a genius man. We should be grateful to him only for selecting Embiid despite all the bad stats & impression. Sam is genius.

He didn't have bad stats. He had outstanding per 40 stats. Either way, box score scouting is a good way to make mistakes in the college draft. Anybody with sense could see Embiid was the best prospect in the country that year.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Joel has played much more composed this year too. Last year it seemed like he was extremely reckless with his body. He’s still on the ground alot, but the falls dont seem as bad as last yr and he seems much more better at “landing” when he does. Wonder if the organization talked to him about perserving his body, not going 100% every play?

His physical transformation from college to now is amazing too. He looks like a totally different person physically.

His ability to get post position is improving dramtically too. Might help sergio rodriguez isnt trying to feed him, but do think his awareness is growing leaps and bounds each month. Last year he’d way to often catch the ball back to basket near the 3 pt line. Now, hes frequently rim running or pinning people down, getting position much earlier and effortlessly now vs last yr.

I heard Doris Burke say tonight during the houston twolves game, something along the lines that Karl Towns can be the best player in a couple years, and just laughed and thought to myself “no Doris thats Joel Embiid”.

Around 15BPM
20/15&5blk/g per 40
Biid was crazy good.

What I didnt expect is how good he'll be as a scorer with only 6FGA/g and 11ppg

Well I believe alot of that has to do with lower body strength, to me its obvious that was a point of emphasis for him last summer. I also look forward to him getting stronger down there, cause it will take his game to another level like it already has.

From a weight lifting and training standpoint, I believe his lower body is the main thing he can improve even moreso over this summer cause it will prevent those falls even more.

 Embiid is going global. I was waiting for a train today in Australia, and off the train came a man wearing the number 21 jersey. I have seen the Simmons jersey many times, but the first Embiid one.

It's hard to envision a healthy Embiid doing anything but destroying somebody in the playoffs. I'd like to just get him there healthy and build on it next year.

Also, to continue the legend, it's so rare for LeBron to get dwarfed. But Embiid does it.
