They must be forgetting about Munford, Kilpatrick and Plumlee not being signed by anyone for a reason too.......

Ian from Hartford went to the game last night and called into the 105.7fm this morning. I tend to agree with much of Ian's "takes". He seems pretty rational. Ian's take is that Jennings is a lot more talented and skilled that Mumford based on what he saw in person last night. Felt there was a wide gap between Jennings and everyone else on the floor.

When are the next Herd games? I think you give him two more games. Then if he looks good, cut Kilpatrick and bring him up.

it was pretty clear jennings was a notch above everyone on the floor last night. dude was with the team for literally a few hours and dropped 31 and has some great passes. like others have said, some solid/nice passes were fumbled and ended up being turnovers. he showed a willingness to take threes, which is a trait the bucks as a whole lack right now.

that said, he did make some silly mistakes with the ball and took some wild shots. it is brandon jennings.

all in all, i think he's well worth trying out with the bucks for the rest of the season as a bench guy. i don't think anyone here is advocating he come in and be some key contributor for us, but truthfully, we could use his offense off the bench.

just my 2 cents

You act like that’s a valid argument. Beasley and JR Smith have played in China as well. Both came back and have made contributions to nba

I don't mind the wild shot selection. It's the other carelessness with the ball and the lack of commitment to defense that concerns me. Just not sure he gets it. Would take a lesser talent who does.

Wouldn't get worked up if we cut Terry or Kilpatrick to sign him. Another reminder that cutting Munford or Plumlee doesn't mean we can sign Jennings or anyone else.

It astounds me that anybody gets to the "maybe" stage. Unless they didn't watch the Bucks when this clown was on the team.

I never had a problem with Jennings when he was here. He's certainly a flawed player, but the main problem was that he was asked to be our best or second best player when in reality, prime Jennings should've been a team's fifth best player. And of course pairing him in the backcourt with Monta was terrible.

But then you can’t stop thinking of that one night when she invited her old college roommate over, one thing led to another, and 3 bottles of wine later they dropped 55 on you.

I always liked BJ3, and loved when he said Bucks in 6. We were going up against prime LeBron's Heatles and needed a shot of confidence. BJ3's talent is nba starter level, and the good thing is that he's not the guy we're trying to build a team around anymore.

Yeah it was the lack of effort on D that concerns me more than anything. For a guy fighting to get back into the league you expect more.

First off, I'm not arguing, simply stating a fact. But even in China, he was inefficient (except he did shoot 38% from 3), and turnover prone. Beasley won the MVP of the China League when he was there (and still took a lot of flack on this board when he was here btw), and JR Smith actually scored more than Beasley when he was there. Now Jennings can score, not efficiently (typically) but he can score, but as a 1 bad decisions and turn overs are death. As I also said in my original post, I'm willing to see how he plays but I'm not going to hold my breathe. Also, I don't know anything about his attitude and locker presence either - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

I think it's hard to judge a guards (and just about any players) defense in the G league. He started putting pressure on ball handlers late in the game, it was lacking otherwise but no one was playing defense, and generally no one does.

The G league is more a showcase your skills league than anything else, and a lot of times you get guys who will go easy on each other defensively. Just the way it is.

I'm no G League expert by any means but defense IS a skill and one extremely translatable.........

To me, Jennings is kind of in the same boat as Beasley.

He's a guy that if he ever "gets it," could be a valuable weapon off the bench. Just don't think he ever will.
