Donovan still unable to find rotations that work.

I’m just happy he hit his threes for once.

Single game plus minus can be a bitch. But in this case I feel its broadly reflective of what we've seen all year from him. They must really feel good about what he's doing in practice. I wish he could spend more time D Leaguing it.

NetRtG with Ferguson on the floor last night: -122 points per 100 possessions.
NetRtG with Ferguson of the floor last night: +48 points per 100 possessions.
On/Off for Ferguson: -170 points per 100 possessions
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

I get it, he’s not very good. I don’t know what his ceiling is as a player but I appreciate his willingness to pass and hustle. It’s obviously not giving us good results this season but my expectations for this season are kind of done.

I don't even want to use this as an indictment on him. I simply think the numbers are incredible. He turns Russ-George-Adams into a - 11 NetRtG lineup. Without him, they're at +11 NetRtG. Nobody can be this bad.

I think it’s more of an indictment on Billy. Its the opposite of Andres value. Yes Andre is great, but there is no reason he should be THAT valuable. Ferguson makes mistakes but there is no reason an athletic player who hustles should be THAT bad defensively. I think part of this could be due to the fact that Ferguson with the starters isn’t coming in and being asked to hold his own on defense. He’s being asked to do everything that Andre did.

Have you heard of Corey Brewer? Or Javale McGee? Or Kenneth Faried? Ben McLemore is an active athlete who has zero idea what he's doing on that end.

There is plenty of precedent for defensive ineptitude by athletic hustle players. Defense is a skill.
