I could see them in the finals but equally possible they get knocked out of the 2nd round. I give them literally zero chance to beat the Warriors or the Rockets, save for catastrophic injuries for both teams. Anyone saying otherwise is just talking Skip Bayless level BS...

Lebron retire? Na? Cool then they’re still the favorites.

Favorites yes. But LeBron still needs more help.

Philly only makes sense if they flip Fultz and Simmons for an allstar guard. Say Lillard. Now you have Lillard, Bron, Embiid and bring back Reddick for MLE. That is a scary, scary team. No way he goes to play with a bunch of kids tho.

LeBron to Houston is scary as **** and I can see that happening. At least there would be 1 interesting playoff series. This year I'm hoping GSW / HOU is a good series but I can easily see GSW winning 4-1. The NBA playoff really suck these days.

Lakers, like philly, only make sense if they trade all their youth and can pull another star in FA. Something like Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and picks for Lillard, Kawhi, whoever. Sign one of George / Cousins. Trot out a big 3 and a bunch of vet min guys. This seems the least likely to me.

Wizards are definitely odd though......

I'm honestly very concerned with the idea of LeBron going to Philly. While I think there are massive fit issues with him and Simmons since Simmons can't play off-ball, that move could catapult them to multiple EC titles (or none if we get AD or Kawhi 8-) ).

I still think Houston or LA. But Philly is a dark horse IMO for sure.

I think he'd go to L.A. or Houston right now. I just feel if Lebron leaves Cleveland for the final time, he is getting out of the east this time probably. Unless he thinks it's just too damn easy to win the east but that also depends on how much longevity you think the Warriors have.

If i was him i'd never leave the east. But I do think he will.

I'd bet Houston. then LA. Cle's a distant 3rd.

How do they find a taker for Ryan Anderson tho? A crappy late 1st isn't gonna cut it. Gotta get rid of Gordon too. Plus they'll prob give cp3 a dam near max, max out Lebron & Capela is gonna be expensive too. That payroll would be insane if it's even possible.

Paul Harden James Tucker Capela Nene would be that team w/ the MLE available. Prob resign Ariza w/ bird rights. Couple dudes on the minimum & that roster is crazy.

If this happens, I hope Morey goes w/ the young guys w/ the fresh active legs instead of the old vets who show up once every 5 games. Cause that roster would need young legs desperately.

Kevin O'Connor brought up a good point about Lebron's legacy - right now, he is chasing Michael Jordan. It's not likely that he'll catch him in terms of rings. However, the only way he'd have a decent shot at surpassing Jordan's legacy, in terms of greatness, is to go out West, put a stop to the Warriors reign, and somehow bring a title to the Lakers. Why? Because he's not going to beat the Warriors if he stays in the East. Getting to the Finals isn't enough, since everyone keeps using his losing record (3-5) in the Finals against him anyways. Getting to the Finals a few more times and losing isn't going to help his case. But stopping a super team like the Warriors is something that even Michael Jordan hasn't done. O'Connor makes a pretty good point that Lebron has more to gain, and nothing to lose, if he were to move out West.

That is a great point.

To counter that though - i personally think that LBJ's of topping MJ is going the longevity route. & in CLE, with his team. He can tailor make a good team around him that he can just pad stats for the next 5 years.

You know if he goes to Hou, his stats would def drop. Lal? Depending who's he's with they'd drop. I'd assuming if their gonna knock off the warriors, he's have a real good team around him. But in Cle, he could have the best of both worlds.

Now i don't think this will happen, i think he leaves, but just for debate purposes. I'm like 48% hou - 48% Lal - 4% Cle. So I definitely see that side & think that's prob his safest option.

That doesn't matter much in any GOAT discussion imo. You need the championships too. There is probably nothing Lebron can do to catch MJ short of winning the next three finals in a row including this one.

It honestly seems ridiculous for many reasons, and in some way I don't even believe myself, but I think Lebron ends up in Philadelphia.

Would've been a good pickup for us 10-15 mins off the bench instead we got Monroe.

Our bench's issue was scoring, not defense. Monroe, despite his struggles, is built to help that.

Yeah, true. Monroe though, needs to get into form, ASAP.
He's also 8 years younger than Emeka Okafor, who is 35.

He's also built to give up as many points as possible. Okafor doesn't hurt you offensively in 10-15 mpg against 2nd units, he helps more defensively than Monroe helps offensively. And our struggles have been on both ends with our bench. Mook, Smart and Rozier need their shots. Moose won't be getting enough shots to help the offense and his defense make turnstiles jealous.

Monroe was bought in as a stop gap though. I don't think Danny intends on keeping him long term? Rather extend Theis then re-sign Mr Turnstile.

I think that we're just gonna kick the tires on Monroe, so to speak.

I find this very insulting to turnstiles. At least most turnstiles offer a tad bit of resistance. Greg Monroe, on the other hand, offers absolutely none.

Bron isn’t moving his family to Philly.

Philadelphia & South Jersey actually have some really nice suburbs. I feel like you're still living in 2007. When was the last time, if ever, that you've been to Philadelphia? Lebron to Philly makes more sense than you think. Can you imagine Lebron bringing a championship to Philly after the Eagles celebration? It would be insane and almost unmatched in terms of legacy if he would be able to bring a title to the team everyone was laughing at just two years ago. He also gets to expand his brand in the Philadelphia market (which is quite large) and the NYC market. Also, Ben Simmons & Embiid are pretty darn good players and they have the flexibility to add more. It's really not out of the realm of possibility.
