Its night and day (IMO) because he got to actually play against the guy in game...and realized, Hey I’m as good as these dudes...or better. So yeah i agree but his game isnt different...he just has experience and confidence based on the outcome of that experience. You cant expect a player to play well when the coach shows no confidence...it was pretty much a “anyone buy Sato” at guard motto coming from the coaching staff last year.
Having watched him in many games in Europe, this was puzzling. It looked like two different players. This looks very much like the Sato of Europe.
It makes me definitely doubt Brooks as a "development" coach. Or at least a development coach for those that aren't in the rotation. I guess he is perfectly paired with EG (I know that is harsh but...).

Quiet 23 points? Hoy sh-t did you watch the game? He must have hit 5-6 big shots at the end of the shotclock and one to end the half. He was pretty quiet in the second half but again, we had a big lead and the Sixers did D him up pretty well.
Yes, I missed the 1st half completely. So I missed the fireworks, I guess. In the 2nd half, he was quiet, although he did get a bunch more pts.

How many buzzer-beating shots did Otto make - not to mention one that maybe didn't quite beat the buzzer so we won't mention it. Watching the game, I thought Saric and Covington played well, but looking at the boxscore, they combined for 7 of 24. That's a lot for Embiid and Simmons to make up for, and they didn't. Fun game to watch - realizing Philly is the team of the future.
I do feel that Philly makes that jump next year and is right there with Boston and Philly. They also pick-up two more picks, 10 & 18 right now. I could see them trying to trade up if they could get Doncic. Otherwise - they are better just sitting where they are at and picking up wings. And then picking up FC players in the second round with their three picks. But a FC rotation of Embiid, Saric and Holmes isn't bad
Add to that they have Simmons, Bayless, McConnell & Fultz at PG. Guessing they could make a trade for a SG...
