No they really dont have a reason to.

But it is the right thing to do, imo.

He can go to a contender, he has earned it.

No one cares.

But truth, imagine VC teaching Brown dunks for the All Star Dunk Como!! He’d win multiple years in a row!!

The University of Vince Carter is accepting registrations right now. Check out the curriculum:

Time management and multitasking (How to attend your convocation and play a game 7 in the same day)
Espionage 101: Giving plays to the opponents after a timeout.
Sabotage: How to kill your own trade value
Hooky 201: Attending concerts while on the injured list (Bonus credits for dancing without exacerbating your ailment)
Revisionist history 200 - how to convince your old team and its fans that you didn't want to be traded......10 years after the trade happened.

Wouldn't have said anything but the part about Vince "deserving" to play for a contender irked me. Guy quit on his team and killed his trade value. The basketball gods shouldn't let that go. He can go get his number retired in Toronto but that's it. No rings or Finals appearances for that guy. Besides, if winning was so important for him, then maybe he should have signed with a contender instead of just taking the biggest bag of money that was offered to him.

actually he stated that playing time and mentorship was the motivating factors in relation to the last contract he signed.

Yeah he wanted to pad his stats too. Completely forgot about that point. As for mentorship.........looks like he's doing a **** job thus far.

well there isnt really alot there to mentor.

Nets up 1 on Cleveland at half, while on the second of a B2B. Cleveland better get the #NetsPick intensity back soon

Nets are the biggest tease ever. They always come so close to upsetting these good teams, just to fall short in the end.

I never got my hopes up on this game. I figured if the Cavs lost then something really fishy might be going on.

D-Wade with the game winner and nice stat line. Good to be back in Miami where they have that high quality HGH.

Spolestra deserves credit too for having massive stones to intentionally foul Ben Simmons with 24 seconds left in a tie game. While Simmons hit 1 FT, it gave the Heat the chance to win the game and they did. Though they got incredibly lucky Redick missed that wide open three.

You really believe that spolestra told wade to foul?

Yeah, pretty sure he didn't but it DID work out, and arguably the foul was the correct call statistically.

It's a few days old but some good stuff in here from David Griffin about Cavs / Irving trade with Zach Lowe.

Not for nothing but

Josh Jackson has the potential to be a monster.

I love the Tatum lick

But watching Josh Jackson lately and man when he gets close to the basket he is scary

Danny, please sign Corey Brewer. Nader should be the easy cut here

Awesome win and the only time I will ever praise the Heat or Wade. Probably meant a lot to the family of the kid who was buried in Wade's jersey.

It’s actually interesting because Simmons free throw percentage is like right on the line of is it “right” to intentionally foul him or not. At that point it’s as close to 50-50 statistically as it gets wether it’ll work out or now.

Dude shoots .280 career from three on 2.2 attempts. Maybe he can defend but he's not gonna be knocking down threes..

Corey Brewer's biggest strength is that he plays incredibly hard to be honest

I'd love to have that instead of Nader. I'd also sign a pet rock if it meant cutting him.
