Chris Finch created an offense in Denver that maximized Jokic by running the offense through him.
He took that to New Orleans this year and ran it with Cousins and Davis.

The Pistons should look into that strategy.

For what it's worth I still think the trade was good. We've never had this much talent on the team in a decade. We lost a draft pick and that sucks but it was likely going to be botched and I'd rather have Blake lol I don't think it's Blake, it's obviously SVG.

I agree 100%. I like the trade and I think the talent is there. This is ALL on SVG and staff and how they use these lineups. Screw continuity and appeasing egos. If a lineup ain't working change it. We have three good ball-handlers and playmakers in Buycks, Ish, Blake, and four when Reggie is back. 4 guys I'll live with open 3's from all day in Bullock, Galloway, Kennard. 4 good 2-way wings in Stanley, Bullock, Ennis, and Tolliver. A beast on the glass and alley-oop beast in Drummond, and a solid backup rebounder/defender in Moreland. Some combination of this has to work. Period. No excuse for bs lineups or not attempting to get creative with them.

Yup. I'm pretty sure a coach that knows how to utilize all the talent we have can get more wins with this roster. Issue with SVG is he relies too much on the PG for his offense and that's why it fails once the starting PG is out. Drummond and Blake are both good passers, Blake above average for a big man. Why don't we use them? No instead SVG has Drummond trying to go inside the paint and have Blake camped out at the 3. He's not a stretch 4 yet he's being used like one. That's coaching. I still believe SVG is a great coach and it really sucks his starting PG has been injured for 3 years straight. This is sports, these things happen. As a front office SVG has done a tremendous job I never ever thought he could get THIS much talent on the team. Guys the team is filled with talent! Don't start over with the roster. Start over with the coaching and I'd love to keep Bower as lead general manager, he's done such a great job flipping players, I'm really surprised by how well he trades. Dumars was really good at drafting and completely lose his touch with trading in the end. Darko was Davidson's pick. I still believe in the team's roster, I don't believe in them making the Playoffs anymore but at any point this bipolar team can go 10 wins in a row. I wouldn't doubt it knowing how well we played first half of the season with Jackson. We just have to stay patient and get lucky eventually.

The Pistons actually did change their offense a lot this year to run a high dribble hand off through Drummond, and he's averaging a career high in assists. Teams adjusted somewhat, but it's still pretty successful. What the Pistons haven't adjusted to yet, is how to run that with both Blake and Andre on the floor, which is even more difficult when you have a point guard like Ish instead of Reggie, who can't space the floor more.
