Me and the kg's seent it. Really entertaining. @jammmmaliver's review was pretty spot on. Letita Wright is my new favorite actress. Whycome most of the best black actors are coming from Gr. Britain now?

Michael B Jordan is a bawse. Oakland shout-outs were nice.

The British have always had good theatre/drama ...just ask Mace (nose up)...Jordan is a triple threat.

I can totally see Mace with his pinky poked out thusly as he sips a lukewarm beverage whilst partaking in a bit of British theatre (pronounced 'the-uh-tuuuuuuuhhh').

It's a slow burn but a great show and worth the watch. I watch the first 4 seasons at least once a year.

I saw it the other day, and it was very good. Near the top for me in all time superhero movies (Dark Knight can't really be touched in that department though IMO) and it's the best movie I've seen since Get Out last year.

The author had to stay in Lithuania in winter for months to cover this story on this family.

Brutal...

but a solid, nuanced piece on the youngest Ball boy.

THE LaMELO SHOW

Image

Behind the scenes of how a too-bizarre-to-be-true trip to Lithuania exposed the impossible teenage life of LaMelo Ball as a subplot in his dad's reality-show basketball empire.

When Melo arrived in Prienai, his new team shockingly didn’t seem interested in challenging him on the court. I observed him at daily practices and games for three weeks, and in that time I didn’t see him or his teammates run a single suicide or timed up-and-back sprint. I didn’t see any punishment for blown layups or defensive errors, either. And games were scheduled against lesser opponents.

How can Melo soar when his father has cleared any hurdle that might come his way?

I wonder: How can a boy with so much talent ever become the NBA star of his dreams—of his father’s dreams—if he isn’t challenged?

The ride back to the hotel seems long. Two hours and some change, and not much to look forward to in the dark night.

There are no restaurants open. Even the hotel’s restaurant, Moon, closes at 10. This is perfect. … Look at the buzz around here! LaVar’s words echo in my mind, but the Ball in the Family cameras are off now. This is real life; not a reality show. There is no glamour, only uncertainty. There is a 10-hour time difference between friends back home.

...as the fans walk away, I watch Melo’s smile shrink then disappear. He looks down at his sneakers. It seems like he looks sad, though I don’t know what he is truly feeling or thinking and may never.

I’m not sure if Lavar is screwing his sons financially..probably the opposite...but they will need to make an app with kg’s shrink in the near future.

LaMelo Ball seems confident when I have heard him speak or from reading quotes, but it's probably opposite, so we'll see what the future holds for him. This is looking to be a train wreck but I do wish him and the family the best.

Samoas? Are you crazy. IF those are the only choices then you have to take Thin Mints but really Tag Alongs are by far the best.

Interesting rumor ...

https://hoopdirt.com/daily-dirt-3-9-18/

•It sounds like Pitt AD Heather Lyke is moving quickly in her efforts to right the ship at Pitt. Lyke, who spent 15 years as a senior administrator at Ohio State has reportedly already reached out to former Buckeye and current Atlanta Hawks assistant Chris Jent. After wrapping up his professional playing career, Jent served two stints as an assistant at Ohio State, and has been an head coach in the NBA G-League.

Great find, kg!

Being an assistant here seems to be a springboard to bigger, better opportunities.
