Derrick Rose Has Only Received 10-Day Contract Interest

Derrick Rose has yet to receive a significant offer since becoming a free agent. Rose has received several 10-day contracts, according to sources.

Rose was waived by the Jazz following his trade from the Cavaliers.

Rose signed a veteran's minimum contract in the offseason with Cleveland.

"The injuries and lack of enthusiasm to play hurts him," a Western Conference executive told B/R.

Rose has interest in an opportunity that could be a longer term fit.

"He's not trying to go into a developing situation or trying to find out who is he is," a person close to Rose told B/R. "He knows who he is as a player."

Rose's camp hopes the Thunder could have interest in him. Some rival general managers speculate that the Clippers are interested.

There has been no communication between Rose and the Wolves.

Teams want Rose to prove he will actually be there and not just sit at home and "contemplate his future". This tells me the league sees him as being more trouble than he is worth. No need to bring in this guy and potentially hurt the locker room when he isn't moving the needle much with his production

Reading between lines I should say he didnt even got a 10 day contract offer at this point.

Ya, that was really dumb.

Playoff teams worry about him being a problem, non-playoff teams prefer to lose games and then maybe sign him in the offseason.

Probably the only team that would want him is the Wiz if Wall doesn't recover quickly. Still, not a very good situation.

I don't know the man and I really think this is very sad, but I figure if he had great character, somebody would still take him as a security piece in a longer playoff run. Just in case. He certainly can score.
