Re: Official Current Affairs & Politics thread
It's hard to separate sports and politics. Whether it's Jesse Owens making a statement at the '36 Berlin Olympics or Sandy Koufax not pitching on the sabbath or the two Koreas marching in as one team during the Sydney and Pyeongchang Olympics or whatever.
Even the anthem playing before a sporting event is a political statement. If you're going to force a player to listen to the anthem, he should have the right to honor the flag in whatever way he feels appropriate. And the fan needs to sit there and take it, or not watch altogether.

Are you referring to me? MDB, please tone down on the character attacks, this is not appreciated nor should be tolerated on this forum. First you accuse me of being a racist with no proof except for the fact that I stand by people like Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro. This is a bannable offense and actually supports my point that anybody that does not side with your views are automatically painted alt-right or racist. That is not fair nor tolerable. I've had to repeatedly defend my views that much have very little to do with race but since you're so absorbed in this narrative, everything has to boil down to race, which makes one wonder who really is the racist one here??
While I agree with you that many people are too quick to bring up race or call someone racist, that doesn’t change the fact that your ideology is not only inhumane but abhorrent, detrimental to society and fueled by Fox News propaganda/delusions. You are the right wing equivalent of the hordes of Rachel Maddow followers who take her blatant speculation and peddle it as fact.
The mindset of people go in waves and are largely set by the narrative pushed by government and by the media. The cucks that are in university today were brainwashed in large by the Obama administration and PC culture. Once they hit the real world, unless they work for Google, Facebook, Amazon or Starbucks where they are pampered and protected by safe spaces, they will quickly realize how the real world does not put up with their crying and victimhood mentality. They will realize that blaming others is not the solution, rather that they'll have to take responsibility for their own actions.
The kids in elementary school today will grow up rebelling against the PC culture. This is why Trump is good for the country, to revert the cuck culture back to normalcy.
So you call people cucks eh?
It's odd that you use alt right buzzwords, routinely sing the praises of alt right personalities, have identical political beliefs to people who align themselves with them...yet according to you, you have no clue about the alt right or don't align yourself with them.
odd.
Also...you blaming Obama for the liberal mindset in academia is pretty ignorant considering that universities have trended liberal for decades. Do you believe that George Soros is behind funding liberals too?

For the record, can you tell us what you, or the wonderful conservative world, believe the word "cuck" is?
I don't know, I just use that term loosely and don't really know its true definition. I don't think it's a racist slur, it's more someone who is weak minded and falls prey to the leftist agenda.
Sure you don't.

"Cuck" actually has its roots from the word "cuckold", a husband whose wife is having an affair. Doesn't really have anything to do with liberal or conservative agendas or really politics in general, just a derogatory term I have no idea why is used and has gained popularity with the alt-right.
BTW, "cuck" also refers to white men who let their wives sleep with black men. there is indeed a racial aspect to the use of that word.

By bringing up "PC Culture" you are further proving my point about you being indoctrinated by Fox News propaganda. You need to understand that Fox News constantly brings up things like PC culture and victimhood mentality in order to distract from the real issues that the world is facing. They want to keep their viewers distracted, ignorant and angry because then they wont have to back up their propaganda with facts.
Elementary School kids are not rebelling against PC culture by any means. I teach elementary school students occasionally and they are incredibly respectful and "woke" compared to the people I grew up around. The only person that theyre not respectful to is Trump himself. If i said the things they say about him I would lose my job and probably be investigated by the FBI. These are kids that play "hang-Trump" instead of "hang-man". Most kids who are old enough to care about these things were alive when Obama was president and even they can tell that Trump is a bumbling fool compared to him. Not that either of them were good. Personally I think Obama and Trump represent everything thats wrong with this country and the main difference between them and the presidents of the past is that Obamas skin is brown and Trump's skin is orange.
there are far more differences between Obama and Trump besides skin color. Obama had lots of faults, but he was far more pragmatic, intelligent, articulate, educated and most importantly: reasonable. He was also competent and wasn't a full blown sociopath. I would take Obama back in the WH in a heartbeat, complaints be damned.
the closest you can even come to Trump's level of incompetence is George W. Bush, and even he is light years ahead of Trump as far as thats concerned.

Re: Official Current Affairs & Politics thread
I just think it sounds funny and fitting e.g. I voted for Justin Trudeau who turned out to be a major cuck.
I'm not directly blaming Obama per say, just saying that his tenure has amplified this type of mindset, this would have happened with Hillary Clinton as well.
Ben Shapiro isn't alt-right, it just so happens that I agree with him on a lot of things because I like how he backs up his opinions with logical facts. Same for Jordan Peterson, this latest year has been huge for him as he's done some really good work; with opposing the ridiculous bill that dictates how Canadians should speak, helping Lindsay Shepherd to expose Sir Wilfred Laurier University's leftist bias, then the dismantling of Cathie Newman.
As for the others like Milo and Ann Coulter, I don't really follow to be honest. I've only heard about Ann Coulter because she was barred from speaking at one of the local universities here which I don't agree with. Actually, I agree with her stance on feminism though.

I'm not speaking on behalf of Lin fans, just for myself. I'm thinking that most Asian-Americans including Jeremy LIn are more liberal than conservative but so be it. Being alpha is necessary in today's society or else you get run over by the PC mentality and get run over by women. When it comes down to it, women need men to be alpha as this is in our genetic and biological makeup. The PC culture is ruining everything, including a man's manhood, or "Peoplehood" as Justin Trudeau would put it.
good lord. this posts reads like it was taken from a red pill forum or 4chan.
so to you, someone who is alpha is someone who lies constantly, is a serial philanderer, an alleged spousal abuser, who has been caught admitting that he sexually assaults women, and has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault? that's how an alpha is supposed to behave?
and you seem to have a really low opinion about women, along with being a proponent of toxic masculinity.

Ben Shapiro simply isn't Alt Right because he's Jewish and they hate him, but his views aren't that far off from theirs. He's a bigot who attempts repeatedly to intellectualize sexism and racism. You seem to be a big fan, so I assume you share some of his views about women and black people, correct?
So you don't follow Milo, but you agree with "some" of his racist views? I really don't believe you when you said you don't follow these people, but I digress.
Ann Coulter is a racist scumbag. that's why she was barred. that's a pretty good reason to bar someone from speaking at a public event at a private university, don't you think?

Again, using the word "cuck" and you yourself claimed to have no idea what it actually means, but are only using it because another group (the alt-right) uses it.

Why would you trust someone who has told more lies in one year than any president in their entire term? That’s something that can be proven with statistics.
Not to mention his history of bankruptcy, one sided deals, domestic violence, screwing people over, rape, selfishness, housing discrimination, child rape, baseless demonization of minority groups... do I need to continue?

Keep in mind, this was all BEFORE he announced his candidacy and people still voted for him. Now people are sticking with him rather than admitting they were wrong that he would change.

Keep in mind, this was all BEFORE he announced his candidacy and people still voted for him. Now people are sticking with him rather than admitting they were wrong that he would change.
It’s the main reason I think this country is screwed beyond belief. People in this country are so stubborn and they love their misery as long as they can point to someone who is more miserable than them (immigrants, gays, blacks etc.).
Personally I think the country is going to collapse on itself into anarchy. People think that the recession in 2008 was bad, wait until the recession in 2025 (or earlier) where not only will people lose their jobs but will find that they have been replaced by a machine. Wait until every cab, truck and train driver are replaced by machines which will just be the beginning. These scenarios are much closer to becoming a reality than we want to believe. Do you think we’ll be able to put aside our differences long enough to fix a problem that humanity has never faced? I sure as hell don’t.
Sorry for going on a little rant towards the end

I'm not speaking on behalf of Lin fans, just for myself. I'm thinking that most Asian-Americans including Jeremy LIn are more liberal than conservative but so be it. Being alpha is necessary in today's society or else you get run over by the PC mentality and get run over by women. When it comes down to it, women need men to be alpha as this is in our genetic and biological makeup. The PC culture is ruining everything, including a man's manhood, or "Peoplehood" as Justin Trudeau would put it.
I am no fan of PC terms but that your low self esteem may be the reason all along. Look like your are afraid of strong women and that much is clear. Otherwise why should it be a problem if you are run over by women if they are more qualify than you are? It was not in our genetic make up to be alpha male at all. There were women dominant society long before Alpha male ever existed. We are no longer a hunt and gathering species, shouldn't the Alpha male thing go away as well? Strong women should be embraced not feared. Try it, it's not that bad

I'm not afraid of strong women at all, one of my best consultants is a women and she's my right hand woman when it comes to tackling difficult technical security issues. The problem arises when you have an expectation of an equality of outcome in the workplace which is a highly flawed concept pushed by feminists.
Jordan Peterson discusses this concept in his interview with Cathie Newman where feminists expect an equality of outcome despite not having the same qualifications. Look what the pansy (I will refrain from using cuck) Justin Trudeau did, he filled his cabinet ministers with half females which is total BS. This position has always been dominated by men because men are naturally more qualified for such positions. Men have always been more dominant at the higher level positions, that's just the way it is and has been forever. It's like saying why aren't there as many male nurses or dental hygenists, then forcing those practices to even up the outcome for those positions. Jordan Peterson believes in equality of opportunity, not the equality of outcome. Women do have equal opportunity in the workplace for the most part, the reason why there is an imbalance wrt to certain position does not have anything to do with unfairness, moreso to due to merit along with natural preference.
That's the thing, the left continue to push these wuss agendas onto the public, from feminism to the bogus trans movement, to identity politics and many BS agendas cited by Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson. You guys don't get that much of why the people voted for Trump does not have to do with race, but more about people getting sick of the bull being pushed down our throats by the media, corporations and academia. The huge bias displayed by the likes of CNN may have hurt Hillary Clinton after all because the people could see through it.
I don't have a dog in the fight regarding gun control but I can clearly see that the left trying to push their agenda there too to eventually ban all guns. Conservatives or Republicans are sick of all of the crying. You guys lost, how about respect the democracy process and give your president a chance for once, rather than incessantly cry about him and bash him 24/7 until no end?

Oh don’t get me wrong I completely agree . I wasn’t comparing him to Trump im Just saying that Obama wasn’t revolutionary by any means. At the end of the day he was just another neoliberal war-hawk who allowed wealthy special interest groups to write policy.
What? War? Wealthy special interest? Sounds republican to me.
