Hate is too strong of a word but I definitely extremely dislike him as a basketball player because he actually believes that he can score and often times force shots out of the flow of the offense to try to prove so which usually is the result of a team going heavily into a negative net with him on the floor.

My biggest knock with MCW is that I just don’t think he belongs in the NBA but he got people that try to vouch for him whom I’m not gonna say any names because that may trigger a suspension or ban for me on here. When those people vouch for him it only fuels my belief that he’s not any good which makes it seem like I hate the guy. I be laughing at him and how bad he is probably more than anything.

I didn’t have much of a problem with Ben Gordon. He was oddly kinda efficient and kept the tank alive that netted us a top 5 pick which ended up being Cody instead of Noel, ugh!

I despised Gary Neal tho. He was the ultimate black hole and Clifford loved to play him despite bad defense and poor shot selection just because he was a former Spurs player.

My all-time (6 years) Hornets dislike list is as follows:
1. Gary Neal
2. PJ Hairston
3. Byron Mullens
4. MCW
5. Jeff Taylor
6. Marco Belinelli
7. Jason Maxiell
8. Brian Roberts
9. Ramon Sessions
10. Gerald Henderson

I was going to mention Derrick Coleman as my least favorite Hornet ever, but I brushed up on his Wiki entry before posting and now I'm not sure I can say that either.
Post NBA
Coleman purchased a home in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, where he resided until 2010, when he moved to Detroit, Michigan. After the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, Coleman drove 65 miles daily to bring residents clean bottled water and eating utensils, which they did not have access to.

Wow, I left out Derrick Coleman in my earlier post solely because of that. He was MCW before MCW for me (not in terms of talent, clearly). Never liked the guy when he was here, but I greatly appreciate his efforts to help those in need.

I don't think MCW is a bad guy either. He just sucks so much that he'd need to drive 130 miles daily to bring residents clean bottled water, and even then I'm afraid he'd forget to shut his door and 2/3 of the water would go flying out.

I like Hendo and I liked PJ too even though he was awful for the most part. Was not a Sessions fan and because he was in front of Kemba on the depth chart, I didn't like Augustin.

I don't really hate any of these guys, it's just sort of become the normal term for not liking them.

I got a headache reading that list. Like I literally felt a pain in my head as I was reading it remembering all the years of watching those horrible players. Puts in perspective how embarrassing this franchise has been the past 8 years.

Augustin was before my time on here.

Hendo was frustrating to watch because in his mind he thought he was Kobe and like clockwork he usually tried to take matters into his own hands at the end of games unnecessarily by shooting a fadeaway out of the rhythm of the offense. He held this team back for years but everyone was so patient with him. It really bothered me lol but beyond that he was a solid role player that should’ve been coming off the bench.

PJ get the Brown Frown from me because he had a lot of fanboys on here that were high on him and even likened him to James Harden during the draft process. The whole time I’m looking at him from my own evaluation from a small sample size because I barely watched UNC like “I don’t even know if he belongs in the NBA”. Drafting Napier whom I liked a lot while knowing we needed a backup PG and trading for PJ is another reason I dislike him followed by starting him over Lamb when Lamb did everything better than him including defense.

I don’t remember Sessions ever being ahead of Kemba on the depth chart but I remember a lot of the Kemba haters thought that Sessions was better during the Dunlap year. The only thing that really bothered me about Sessions is the way he just played kamikaze 1-on-5 attack the rim basketball. It was really nerve wrecking to watch.

My most disliked list goes...

Clifford
Big Al

Thats it. Most of the other players I hated to watch play were only really put in the position for me to dislike them so much because Clifford is insane. The two years I followed before Clifford was hired we were in tank mode so I wasn't trying to get upset over anyones poor play.

I just feel bad for MCW.

What do you guys think of bringing D Rose in to replace MCW?

Used to be one of my favorite players but no thanks. His heart is no longer into basketball. He’s only trying to prolong his playing career so that Adidas don’t void that contract.

I'd take Ed Cota over MCW.

I'd do it. He'd probably do better in a small market at this point. He can score no doubt, but his defense is bad, and he's made a lot of questionable decisions since his injury. Worst case scenario is he completely sucks, and it helps us tank.

there is nothing that will help us tank anymore. None of Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Memphis, Sacramento, or Orlando are winning 8+ games the rest of the way. If CHI or Brooklyn won 8 of their final 21 games, we would have to go 0-20 the rest of the way just to tie. It isn't happening. Barring some crazy stuff from them or a Porzingis-Less Knicks team, and the most blatant tank job you will ever see a team make, we are not picking better than 10th. So put the tank out of your mind.

I'll do all-time hornets like list because it's shorter

1) Gerald Wallace (carried the franchise through a LOT of dark times)
2) Kemba Walker
3) Jeremy Lin (loved him and Kemba together)
4) Stephen Jackson
5) Al Jefferson
6) Shaun Livingston (rebuilt his career in CLT)

Also depressing is if you look at all time coaches in franchise history Dave Cowens is the only one well above .500.

I can't hate on Jeff Taylor. I ran into him at a club uptown and he was really chill. Had a tatted-up chick with him who had to be 85 pounds at most.

No hate, just dislike because either they didn’t try hard enough or didn’t belong on the floor. In this case he didn’t belong on the floor. He tried hard, just wasn’t really good and he had short arms compared to all of the other wings with lengthy wingspans.

I think other posters on the board have a huge influence on me disliking a player a lot of the time. Everyone had so much patience and hope for Jeff Taylor and I didn’t understand why. Taylor was a poor man’s Treveon Graham.

If Taylor was still on the team I’m sure at least half of the board would be vouching for or harping for him to play over Lamb. They have this weird obsession for the lesser players while trashing the better players (i.e. Kemba).
