Tank Lineup

Post#1 » by kingjawn100 » Fri Mar 2, 2018 7:53 pm

So i started thinking...what would be the ideal Kings starting lineup if we wanted to ensure losing a game despite the players playing their hardest. This was tougher than i thought....My thoughts... (this assuming Cooley isn't with the team)...

PG - Frank Mason
SG - Vince Carter
SF - Bruno Caboclo
PF - Jakarr Sampson
C - Skal Labissiere

Surprisingly the toughest position for me here was point guard. While Fox is clutch and has great long term potential he still does a lot of stuff (turnovers etc) that cause you to be in a hole early on. Still i guess if you wanna tank you don't want Fox on the court late in a tight game. PF was tough too. While Jakarr isn't super talented he is the type of energy player that can cause you to win a game. I thought about having ZBo in there given how bad he looks at times but he's one of the few kings players that could score 30 points any given night. To me this is the ideal lineup of little rebounding/little scoring and not the greatest defense.

too much rebounding from Koufos to put in my tank lineup. Any semi-physical big man would have his way with Skal.

Randolph definitely deserves to be in the tank lineup.

Hes terrible. Vlade knew all along he was the tank commander who could keep the locker room tight.

Anyone else thinking Bogi may need a couple days of 'rest' down the stretch? Love to see him sit for 2 of our winnable games (orl and dal possibly). At 25 years old it's not a situation like Fox where he needs reps late in the season to gain confidence/experience. You'd hate to see him get injured in a meaningless game or him leading us to 4 or 5 wins down the stretch.

Call me crazy but i'm starting to think Bogi's ceiling really could be a 20ppg scorer for the next 6-7 years.

I thought this thread would be the best place to discuss this....

The nba warned the bulls about resting healthy veterans. Will the kings receive the same warning? Thoughts?

If the Kings receive a warning it should be for playing theirs.
