But right now with his scoring difficulties, everything else is meaningless.

It's about putting the ball in the basket.

If he's not showing any real progress untill the end of season, I'll be ok with tradong him despite his low outside value.

There's really not much point in trading a young player with a low salary while his value is trash. He simply needs to keep working on his game, and I'm still hoping for modest improvement. Honestly he should be playing in the G-league.
They not gonna trade him alone. He likely be in a package deal, like the TJ and Winslow for Carroll

What's the point of packaging him? He adds no value to the deal for either team.

Lol team wont take him if they didn't want him to make a deal work. Don't think the Heat just want to trade him. But he sure will be a piece if needed to be to the deal done

Winslow is a role player. Role players are only good to a team if he fits. Winslow just doesn't fit on the Heat. Another team may have a needed role for him

The problem is we never have let him settle into a role. He’s a stop gap “mr fix it” for Spo and it has killed his development.

Spo has made him play the 5 in the playoffs as a rookie, had him play point guard, had him play the 4 and defend the AD and Griffins of the world. Why has he never really been given the opportunity to play his proper position? His role is so fluid that he can’t get a rhythm game to game. And it shows.

Was our 6th man and SF playing 30 mpg as a rookie, his second yr's screwed his trajectory on this team, don't think that Spo thinks he can fit in on THAT team as an SF but Spo has showed some willingness to play him... Maybe in less minutes but there's some small hope for him... Tiny. If he's not packaged next time this team blow's up, then he's going to need to find his role quick. I still think his best roles are at the 3 and the 1 but... bulk of his minutes at the 4. Definitely don't like them developing him for that role or whatever they're doing

Role keeps changing up because he isn't exactly elite at anything but defense right now.

This guy is frustrating to watch. Hasn't shown any improvements since his first game in the league.

I missed the Laker game. The Memphis game even thou the ball went in, his touch looks terrible like it was lucky to go in. From the highlight of the Lakers game, the touch looked decent that day. Strangely the only other game that he looked comfortable shooting was the Laker game a year ago

I wanna see one good month from him. Not one occasional game against bad/horrible team. One month where he's not airballing or missing wide open layups. One month where he's not looking like a rookie. Dude's played almost 150 NBA games. It's time to show something.

This situation reminds me a Beasley one although they are quite the opposite as a players. No understanding which position should he play. Should he start or come off the bench.

The original argument was he hasn't shown any improvements since his first game in the league  This is what I mean when I say certain fans just have their own predetermined agendas about players and it wont change. If anyone said before the season Winslow would be shooting even 35% on 3's after an average of 26% his first year and 20 games into his career everyone here would have taken it..Now its too small of a sample size

You can't say that he's a better 3pt shooter now, simply because you don't have enough data. Same thing with his rookie season. 116 shots is not enough to make a conclusion that he's horrible from 3

BTW, I'm one of the few pro Winslow posters here.

I enjoy watching Winslow but I can understand frustration, lost too often for a 3rd year player

He's essentially a second year player though. We should treat him that way - all the Sixers fans treat Simmons as a rookie and Embiid as a second year. The only difference is they lost their first year and Winslow lost his second.

He was being trialled for a very different role in those 18 games, and one that didn't fit where he was at. Spo does this all the time in the front 1/2, but normally the players end up normalising their efficiency, etc. Justise got injured and now just has statistical diarrhoea representing his "season".

Seems to have put together a couple of good games so far...

Highest +/- on the team against the Pistons with 20. Didn't see the game, how did he do?

Positive vanilla RAPM along with Ellington, Richardson and Olynyk so far this season.

PIPM has

Bam 2.02
Winslow 1.58
Dragic 1.46
Olynyk 1.45
JRich 0.92

As a second season for a wing defender, impact numbers think he's doing all right and as I've said many times before, data has wings as the position with the way longest age/learning curve in the NBA contrary to random talking heads opinion.
