That should illustrate what a worthless stat it is

It was a joke. That said, Westbrook's Points/Rebound/Assist #'s have never overrated a player more in history. SEE: 2017 MVP (Hint: MVP's don't shoot 42% from the field, especially if they're terrible from 3).

Yeah - I’ve seen many examples of worthless +/- stats...like Anthony Davis will have negative plus minuses sometimes in games where he had like 5 clutch rebounds to save the game along w/ 45 points, 16 rebounds, etc. while the rest of his team didn’t do anything. All it really means sometimes is that the game was very close while you were playing...

They played no good teams until Cleveland in that run. I'd take last seasons Hawks over any team that Raptors beat in that run quite easily.

Last season's Hawks??

Now you're clearly just hating.

Y'all beat the Heat with no Whiteside and a mediocre Pacers team. Took 7 games for both. Yes, last year's Hawks were quite easily better than both those teams. Not even really up for debate.

It’s so hard to take Russell Westbrook seriously as a player that wants stats versus wanting to win.

Guess you didn't watch any of the 4 Thunder games against 40 loss teams since the ASB. All needed game winners/comebacks

Not that this is any different than the beginning of the season, except we are a little more clutch now.

If I remember correctly Valancounas got injured in the same game as Whiteside .

Which would you take less seriously, a stat-padder, a superteamer, a ring-chaser or a foul-fisher? That's your NBA right now as embodied by the current top 4 best players of the league.

Actually I have but I seriously thought this was a given so I didn't bother tuning in. The Suns are straight up horrible on both sides of the ball.
I was stunned when I check in on the score and saw them tied with seconds left.

Mediocre Pacers team... that won more games than last season's Hawks.

Beat the Heat with no Valanciunas (who was averaging almost 20 and 12 that series, while rendering Whiteside completely useless).

Troll harder lol :)

How are they lucky if he hit them all of last season

I don't care what he did last season. This season, he's shooting terribly from 3. If he hits them at just those right moments, that's luck more than anything else.

Yeah - It blows my mind how he hits those clutch 3’s when he has been shooting so poorly from 3 all season. That Sacramento game when he hit that game winning 3 w/ one second left, he was 0/5 from 3 before that shot!

I’m not convinced it’s luck - like maybe something about him knowing it NEEDS to go in makes him make the shot. Who knows...

when you go all out every possession im pretty sure you "want to win" over "stats", the guy got a scholarship to stanford on academic merit you dont think he just maybe wants to "work hard to win"? You guys are a joke with these stat comments.

I know...he just seem to try every damn night like its his last...seems like he does that for stats and they HAPPEN to win a lot of games...but who knows...its crazy how clutch he is...when all he cares about is stats...
Wait isnt winning a “stat”...

Yeah Westbrook sucks...
